Abstract
Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengungkap hubungan antara gaya hidup experiencers dengan prestasi belajar yang diukur berdasarkan dimensi AIO (activities, interest, opinions). Sampel dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 296 siswa SMA Negeri 1 Kota Bandung yang diambil dengan cara teknik quota sampling menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode korelasional. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa angket/kuesioner dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan: (1) Gaya hidup experiencers pada siswa SMA Negeri 1 Kota Bandung tahun ajaran 2013-2014 berada pada kategori cukup tinggi, (2) Prestasi belajar pada siswa SMA Negeri 1 Kota Bandung tahun ajaran 2013-2014 berada pada kategori baik, (3) Tidak terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara gaya hidup experiencers dengan prestasi belajar pada siswa SMA Negeri 1 Kota Bandung tahun ajaran 2013-2014, (4) Tidak terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara dimensi kegiatan pada gaya hidup experiencers dengan prestasi belajar, (5) Tidak terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara dimensi minat pada gaya hidup experiencers dengan prestasi belajar, (6) Terdapat hubungan negatif sangat rendah namun signifikan antara dimensi pendapat pada gaya hidup experiencers dengan prestasi belajar. Rekomendasi dari hasil penelitian ini adalah (1) siswa dapat lebih mengelola waktu, uang serta kesempatan yang dimilikinya secara lebih proporsional sesuai dengan tingkat kepentingan dan siswa tidak selalu meniru gaya hidup orang Barat melainkan siswa yang harus menciptakan gaya hidup dengan kualitas yang lebih baik, (2) pihak sekolah memberikan pengarahan tentang bagaimana menggunakan waktu, kesempatan, uang serta menghargai orang lain, (3) peneliti selanjutnya dapat mencari faktor lain yang berhubungan dengan gaya hidup experiencers dan juga dapat meneliti lagi di sekolah lain yang mungkin terdapat siswa yang memiliki gaya experiencers. The aim of this research was to reveal the relationship between experiencers lifestyle and academic achievement. The experiencers lifestyle was measured by AIO dimension (activities, interest, opinions). The sample of this research was 296 students of SMAN 1 Bandung who were chosen by quota sampling technique. This research used quantitative approach with correlational method. Questionnaire and documentation were used as the instruments of this research. The results showed that: (1) Experiencers Lifestyle of SMAN 1 Bandung students (year 2013/2014) were in the high category, (2) Academic Achievement of SMAN 1 Bandung (year 2013/2014) were in the good category, (3) There was no significant relationship between the experiencers lifestyle and academic achievement of SMAN 1 Bandung students (year 2013/2014), (4) There is no significant relationship between the dimensions of experiencers lifestyle activities and academic achievement, (5) There is no significant relationship between the dimensions of experiencers lifestyle interest and academic achievement, (6) There is a very low but significant correlation between the dimension of experiencers lifestyle opinions and academic achievement. Moreover, the suggestions of this research are: (1) the students have to manage their time, money, and chances to be more proportional in accordance to their own needs, and students don’t always replicate the lifestyle of Westerners but students should create a lifestyle with a better quality, (2) the school has to give guidelines to the students on how to use their time, chances, money and how to respect other people, (3) the next researchers may find another factors which were related to experiencers lifestyle.
