Abstract
Karakter bersahabat sangat diperlukan dalam pergaulan remaja. Dewasa ini masalah yang menyangkut remaja terutama pelajar adalah mudah sekali memiliki tendensi buruk terhadap orang lain yang mungkin dipengaruhi oleh teman dalam kelompok, sehingga memicu perselisihan dan perasaan tidak ingin untuk bersahabat. Masalah yang sering muncul pada media massa sekarang ini adalah tawuran dan pergaulan bebas yang terjadi antar pelajar. Hal ini menunjukan bahwa ada krisis karakter bersahabat yang bersumber dari kerusakan individu masyarakat dan kurangnya penanaman pendidikan karakter secara dini. Secara umum, penelitian ini untuk mengetahui dan memperoleh gambaran secara faktual dan actual mengenai pengaruh kelompok teman sebaya terhadap karakter bersahabat siswa kelas VIII di SMP Negeri 4 Sindang kabupaten Indramayu. Penelitian dilaksanakan dengan menggunakan metode deskriptif dan teknik pengumpulan data melalui obsevasi, angket, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa adanya pengaruh yang signifikan dari kelompok teman sebaya terhadap karakter bersahabat siswa kelas VIII di SMP Negeri 4 Sindang kabupaten Indramayu. Maka, pada dasarnya karakter bersahabat siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 4 Sindang kabupaten Indramayu telah terbentuk dengan baik dan positif, misalnya kelompok teman sebaya yang banyak membantu siswa dalam bergaul dan berkomunikasi dengan siswa lainnya. Sekolah merupakan salah satu lingkungan bersosialisasi bagi siswa mampu membentuk karakter siswa, terutama karakter bersahabat. Dalam bergaul siswa memperlihatkan sikap yang menunjukan karakter bersahabat yaitu diantaranya: siswa dapat menghargai dan menghormati antar teman baik di dalam maupun di luar kelompok, siswa dapat saling menjaga kepercayaan anatar anggota kelompok teman sebaya, siswa dapat saling menjaga kekompakan antar anggota kelompok teman sebaya, siswa memiliki komitmen dalam berkelompok . dan siswa memiliki solidaritas antar anggota kelompok teman sebaya. Disrekomendasi bahwa guru dapat memperhatikan dan mengawasi pergaulan dari kelompok siswa agar dapat mempertahankan serta meningkatkan pembentukan karakter positif siswa. Friendly character is indispensable in the association teens. Today the issues of adolescent students is especially easy to have a bad tendency towards others who may be affected by a friend in the group, leading to disputes and feelings of not wanting to be friends. Problems often arise in the mass media today is fighting and promiscuity that occur between students. This shows that there is a crisis originating from the friendly character of the individual breakdown of society and the lack of character education early planting. The experiment was conducted at SMP Negeri 4 Sindang Indramayu and eighth grade students as research samples. In general, the study is to examine and obtain a description of the factual and actual influence of the peer group against hostile characters in the eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 4 Sindang Indramayu. In particular, the goal of this study include: a). Gain an overview of the influence of the peer group against hostile characters in the eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 4 Sindang Indramayu. b). Analyzing the factors of influence the peer group is a friendly character in the eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 4 Sindang Indramayu. c). Identify the form of a friendly character in the eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 4 Sindang Indramayu which is reflected in the activities of the peer group. d). Obtain an overview of the activities of the peer group with regard to the character of eighth grade students in a friendly SMP 4 Sindang Indramayu. e). Identifying peer groups that can support a friendly character in the eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 4 Sindang Indramayu. The experiment was conducted using quantitative approaches and techniques of data collection through observation, questionnaires, and documentation. Based on the research that has been conducted, it was found that the influence comes from the peer group against hostile characters in the eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 4 Sindang Indramayu. The author provides recommendations on the two parties concerned that students and schools. Basically a friendly character on the eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 4 Sindang Indramayu has been well established and positive, so it needs to be maintained and improved. School as one of the social environment for the students, then schools need to always pay attention and keep an eye on the character formation of students, especially the friendly character.
