Abstract

Permasalahan dalam penelitian ini adalah masih rendahnya motivasi belajar siswa terutama dalam mata pelajaran akuntansi yang sering dianggap sulit oleh siswa. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pengaruh kompetensi pedagogik dan kompetensi profesional terhadap motivasi belajar siswa. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian deskripif verifikatif, dengan metode survey. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas XI IPS SMAN 21 Bandung yang berjumlah 166 siswa dengan sampel sebanyak 118 siswa yang diambil dengan teknik Simple Random Sampling. Analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis jalur (path analysis) dengan bantuan komputer program SPSS v.20 for windows. Hasil penelitian menunjukan kompetensi pedagogik tergolong sedang, kompetensi profesional tergolong sedang, dan motivasi belajar siswa pun tergolong sedang. Kompetensi pedagogik dan kompetensi profesional guru berpengaruh secara simultan terhadap motivasi belajar siswa sebesar 63,6%, dimana faktor yang berpengaruh paling besar adalah kompetensi profesional guru, dan sisanya dipengaruhi oleh faktor lain. Kompetensi pedagogik guru berpengaruh secara langsung terhadap motivasi belajar sebesar 4,2% dan pengaruh tidak langsung melalui hubungannya dengan kompetensi profesional guru sebesar 8,9% sehingga total pengaruh adalah sebesar 13,2%. Kompetensi profesional guru berpengaruh secara langsung terhadap motivasi belajar sebesar 41,4% dan pengaruh tidak langsung melalui hubungannya dengan kompetensi pedagogik guru sebesar 8,9% sehingga total pengaruh adalah sebesar 50,4%. Kesimpulan hasil penelitian ini adalah kompetensi pedagogik dan kompetensi profesional guru berpengaruh positif terhadap motivasi belajar siswa. Saran dari penelitian ini antara lain: (1) guru dapat melakukan perencanaan pembelajaran yang inovatif sebelum The problem examined in this research is the lack of student’s learning motivation especially in learning accounting subject which is commonly considered difficult by students. The aim of this research is to identify the effect of teacher’s pedagogical and professional competence towards student’s learning motivation. This type of research is descriptive research verification, with survey method. The population in this study was the students of class XI Social SMAN 21 Bandung, amounting to 166 students with sample of 118 students drawn by simple random sampling technique. The result of this research showed that pedagogical competence, professional competence, and student learning motivation got a medium result. Pedagogical competence and professional competence simultaneously have a positive influence toward student learning motivation amount 63,6% which the factor that has the biggest influence is professional competence, and the rest is influenced by other factors. Pedagogical competence has a direct influence toward in student learning motivation amount 4,2%, and indirect influence through it’s relation with professional competence amount 8,9% so that the total of influence is 13,2%.
