Abstract
ABSTRAK Penelitian ini dilaksanakan berdasarkan beberapa permasalahan yang ditemukan oleh penulis di lapangan, yaitu rendahnya sikap kepedulian siswa terhadap lingkungan. Hal tersebut dapat dilihat dari sikap siswa yang kurang memperhatikan kebersihan kelas dan kurang memperhatikan kondisi lingkungan sekitar. Sampah yang berserakan di kolong bangku dan di lantai dibiarkan begitu saja, belum banyak siswa yang membawa bekal makan dan minum dari rumah, lampu kelas dan kipas angin dibiarkan menyala pada saat tidak dibutuhkan, dan tanaman yang tidak dirawat. Siswa tidak banyak memahami mengenai sebab akibat permasalahan lingkungan sehingga tidak memiliki inisiatif untuk memperbaikinya. Perilaku yang tidak ramah lingkungan tersebut tidak mencerminkan nilai/karakter yang terkandung dalam ungkapan lisan Sunda, salah satunya dalam babasan paribasa. Berdasarkan latar belakang permasalahan tersebut, peneliti merasa tertarik untuk mengembangkan green behaviour siswa melalui babasan paribasa dalam pembelajaran IPS. Siswa dapat merefleksikan nilai positif dan negatif yang terkandung dalam babasan paribasa sehingga dapat memilah nilai positif untuk diaplikasikan ke dalam kehidupan sehari-hari, khususnya dalam aspek kearifan lingkungan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK). Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah model PTK dari Kemmis dan Taggart. Adapun tahapan dari desain ini, yaitu perencanaan (plan), pelaksanaan (act), pengamatan (observ), dan refleksi (reflect). Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini, yaitu observasi, wawancara, dan studi dokumentasi. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan, yaitu catatan lapangan, pedoman observasi, dan pedoman wawancara. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pengembangan green behaviour melalui babasan paribasa dalam pembelajaran IPS dikatakan berhasil. Berdasarkan hasil observasi yang dilakukan pada siklus I sampai siklus IV, siswa sudah memiliki moral knowing, moral feeling, dan moral action dalam pembelajaran IPS. Secara moral knowing, siswa telah memahami prinsip green behaviour dengan mengklarifikasi nilai babasan paribasa yang berhubungan dengan materi pembelajaran. Secara moral feeling, siswa mampu merasakan dan menyadari bahwa green behaviour sangat bermanfaat dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Secara moral action, siswa telah dapat mengaplikasikan antara moral knowing dan moral feeling ke dalam moral action, seperti membuang sampah pada tempatnya, membawa bekal makan dan minum dari rumah, menghemat energi listrik, serta menanam dan merawat tanaman. Hasil penelitian ini dapat dijadikan rekomendasi untuk siswa, guru, pihak sekolah, dan peneliti selanjutnya untuk mengembangkan pembelajaran IPS yang bermakna dan peduli terhadap lingkungan sehingga dapat meningkatkan green behaviour siswa. Kata Kunci: Green Behaviour, Babasan Paribasa, Pembelajaran IPS ABSTRACT This research was conducted based on some problems found in the field, namely the low of students caring attitude towards the environment. It can be seen from the attitude of the students who pay less attention to the cleanliness of the class and less attention to the environmental conditions. Only a few of students who bring lunch from their home, thus the other students tend to buy foods in the school and they often threw the garbage on the floor or they put it under the bench. The other problems are the students let the fan and lights on even when they are not used. Then, there are some untreated plants. Most of the students do not have the initiative to solve the environmental problems because they do not understand the consequences. This behavior do not shows the characteristic which contained in Sudanese idiom, it is babasan paribasa. Based on the background, the writer was interested in developing students green behavior through babasan paribasa in learning social studies. Students can reflect the positive and negative norm in babasan paribasa and apply the positive norm in the daily life especially in the environmentally friendly aspect. The writer used classroom action research as the method from Kemmis and Taggart which has some steps; plan, act, observe, and reflect. The data which used in this study are collected through three forms; Observation, interview, and study of documentation. This research shows that the improvement of green behavior through babasan paribasa in social studies was successes. Based on the result of the observation in the first cycle to fourth cycle, the students have had moral knowing, moral feeling, and moral action in social studies. According to moral knowing, students have already had green behaviour principle by clarifying babasan paribasa value related to lesson material. Moreover, based on moral feeling, students can feel and realize that green behaviour is very essential in daily activities. Additionally, according to moral action, students can apply both moral knowing and moral feeling into moral action, for example don’t throw the rubbish everywhere, bring their meal and drink from their home, save electric power, and plant and protect kind of plants. This result can be as recommendation for students, teachers, and the further researcher to improve teaching and learning process in social studies which has meaningful learning and also give their attention toward the environment to make the improvement of students green behavior.
