Abstract

Penelitian dilakukan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan metode Problem Based Learning terhadap pemahaman konsep Akuntansi kelas X AK dan X AP pada Mata Pelajaran Pengantar Akuntansi di SMK Negeri 1 Kota Serang. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuasi eksperimen dengan bentuk nonequivalent pretest-posttest control group design. Teknik Analisis data dengan statistik non-parametrik yang meliputi uji beda rata-rata (Mann-Whitney atau Wilcoxon Matched Pairs), gain score dan perhitungan effect size. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perbedaan peningkatan pemahaman konsep peserta didik kelas eksperimen dengan menggunakan metode Problem Based Learning lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan kelas kontrol yang menggunakan metode Ceramah. Penggunaan metode Problem Based Learning lebih efektif dapat meningkatkan pemahaman konsep Akuntansi pada program keahlian akuntansi dibandingkan pada program keahlian Administrasi Perkantoran. This research is conducted to reveal the influence of Problem Based Learning method toward students’ concept understanding on Introduction of class X Accounting X AK and AP Course Introduction to Accounting at SMK Negeri 1 Serang. The method used in this research is quasi experimental with nonequivalent pretest-posttest control group design. The data analysis teknik with nonparametric statistical, test of difference (Mann-Whitney atau Wilcoxon Matched Pairs), gain score and effect size. The result shown that the difference of students’ concept understanding in experimental class by using Problem Based Learning method is higher than control class by using lecture method. The use of Problem Based Learning method is more effective to improve the understanding of accounting the concept in the program than the program accounting expertise administrative skills.
