    Abstract

    Otonomi merupakan aspek penting sebagai bagian kesejahteraan psikologis. Dalam perkembangan manusia khususnya otonomi mahasiswa berkaitan dengan kemandirian belajar, regulasi diri, dan kesiapan menghadapi tantangan akademik maupun professional di era disrupsi dalam pengambilan keputusan. Namun hingga saat ini belum tersedia model yang secara khusus dirancang untuk mengembangkan otonomi mahasiswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan model strength-based group counseling yang efektif untuk mengembangkan otonomi pada mahasiswa. Pendekatan dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian dan pengembangan atau Research and Development (R&D) dengan desain model ADDIE. Penelitian ini diselenggarakan dengan desain pre-eksperimental one-group pretest-posttest. Tahapan penelitian diawali studi pendahuluan, pengembangan model strength-based group counseling, validasi rasional model, dan validasi empirik. Populasi dan sampel penelitian adalah mahasiswa Universitas Negeri Padang (UNP) yang terkumpul sebanyak 378 orang mahasiswa sebagai studi awal kondisi otonomi dan tujuh orang mahasiswa sebagai subjek penelitian. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan wawancara, observasi, dokumentasi, dan angket skala otonomi mahasiswa. Teknik Analisis data menggunakan analisis deskriptif, uji validitas analisis Aiken’s V, uji praktikalitas, uji efektivitas Independent Sampel T-Test dan Paired Sampel T-Test, uji normalitas Kolmogorov Smirnov dan Single Subject Research (SSR) dengan Visual Analysis. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kecenderungan otonomi mahasiswa berada pada kategori tinggi. Hasil uji validitas, praktikalitas, dan efektivitas model diinterpretasikan pada kategori valid, praktis dalam pelaksanaan dan terdapat kecenderungan peningkatan skor otonomi secara konsisten. Kondisi perolehan data ini dapat dimaknai bahwa pemberian strength-based group counseling memberikan pengaruh terhadap tingkat otonomi mahasiswa. Hasil uji beda paired sample t-test pada tujuh orang mahasiswa disimpulkan bahwa ada perbedaan rata-rata antara skor pre-test dan post-test, artinya ada pengaruh penggunaan model strength-based group counseling dapat meningkatkan otonomi mahasiswa Universitas Negeri Padang. Model strength-based group counseling untuk mengembangkan otonomi mahasiswa memenuhi kriteria valid, praktis, dan efikasi untuk digunakan dan diimplementasikan. Rekomendasi yang dapat diberikan kepada konselor dan unit pelayanan BK di perguruan tinggi serta beberapa penelitian selanjutnya. Autonomy is a crucial aspect of psychological well-being. In human development, student autonomy specifically relates to independent learning, self-regulation, and readiness to face academic and professional challenges in an era of decision-making disruption. However, to date, no model has been specifically designed to cultivate student autonomy. This study aims to develop an effective, strength-based group counselling model to enhance autonomy among students. The approach employed in this study is Research and Development (R&D) using the ADDIE model. The research was conducted with a phenomenological design and a pre-experimental, one-group pretest-posttest design. The stages included a preliminary study, development of the strength-based group counselling model, validation of the model's rationale, and empirical validation. The population comprised 378 students from Padang State University (UNP), serving as the initial assessment of autonomy levels, along with seven students acting as research subjects. Data collection involved interviews, observation, documentation, and a student autonomy scale questionnaire. Data analysis methods included descriptive analysis, Aiken's V validation test, practicality assessment, effectiveness testing via Independent Sample T-Test and Paired Sample T-Test, Kolmogorov-Smirnov normality testing, and Single Subject Research (SSR) with Visual Analysis. Results indicated that student autonomy tended to fall within the high category. Validity, practicality, and effectiveness tests showed the model was valid, practically applicable, and associated with a consistent increase in autonomy scores. These findings suggest that providing strength-based group counselling may positively influence student autonomy levels. The paired sample t-test results from the seven students confirmed a significant difference between pre-test and post-test scores, indicating that the strengths-based group counselling model can effectively increase student autonomy at Padang State University. The model meets the criteria for validity, practicality, and efficacy, making it suitable for use and implementation. Recommendations are offered for counsellors and higher education guidance and counselling units, as well as suggestions for future research.
