    Abstract

    Mahasiswa keperawatan menghadapi tuntutan akademik yang tinggi, sehingga dapat menyebabkan burnout. Self awareness merupakan kemampuan individu untuk memahami dan menilai diri sendiri secara baik serta mendalam. Pada mahasiswa keperawatan, rendahnya self awareness dapat berdampak pada kesulitan mengelola stres akademik, menurunnya motivasi belajar sehingga menyebabkan pencapaian akademik yang kurang optimal. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji hubungan dua antara self awareness dan Indeks Prestasi Kumulatif (IPK) pada mahasiswa keperawatan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kuantitatif dengan desain korelasional komparatif. Populasi penelitian berjumlah 466 mahasiswa angkatan 2022, 2023 dan 2024 dengan jumlah sampel terdiri dari 215 mahasiswa yang dipilih dengan teknik proportionate stratified random sampling. Data diperoleh menggunakan kuesioner self-awareness, sedangkan data IPK diperoleh melalui self-report dan data data akademik kampus. Analisis dilakukan menggunakan JASP. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar mahasiswa memiliki tingkat self-awareness pada kategori sedang (94,9%), dan mayoritas memiliki IPK dalam kategori cumlaude (82,8%). Uji Spearman’s rho menunjukkan adanya hubungan positif yang signifikan antara self-awareness dan IPK (r = 0,224; p < 0,001), yang berarti semakin tinggi tingkat self-awareness maka semakin tinggi pula IPK yang diperoleh, meskipun kekuatan hubungan tergolong lemah. Hasil One Way ANOVA menunjukkan tidak terdapat perbedaan self-awareness yang signifikan antarangkatan (p = 0,288), sedangkan hasil uji Kruskal–Wallis menunjukkan tidak terdapat perbedaan IPK yang signifikan antarangkatan (p = 0,087). Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa self-awareness berperan dalam pencapaian prestasi akademik mahasiswa keperawatan, namun masih dipengaruhi oleh faktor lain. Oleh karena itu, institusi pendidikan disarankan untuk mengembangkan program yang dapat meningkatkan self-awareness mahasiswa. Nursing students face high academic demands that may lead to burnout. Self-awareness is the ability of individuals to understand and evaluate themselves accurately and deeply. Among nursing students, low self-awareness can result in difficulties managing academic stress and decreased learning motivation, leading to suboptimal academic achievement. This study aims to examine the relationship between self-awareness and Grade Point Average (GPA) among nursing students. This study employed a quantitative approach using a descriptive correlational–comparative research design. The population consisted of 466 students from the 2022, 2023, and 2024 cohorts, from which 215 students were selected using proportionate stratified random sampling. Data were collected using a self-awareness questionnaire, while GPA data were obtained through self-report and institutional academic records. Data analysis was conducted using JASP. The results showed that most students had a moderate level of self-awareness (94,9%) and the majority achieved a cum laude GPA (82.8%). Spearman’s rho test indicated a significant positive correlation between self-awareness and GPA (r = 0.224; p < 0.001), suggesting that higher levels of self-awareness are associated with higher GPA scores, although the strength of the relationship is weak. The results of the one-way ANOVA indicated that there were no significant differences in self-awareness across cohorts (p = 0.288), while the Kruskal–Wallis test results showed that there were no significant differences in GPA across cohorts (p = 0.087). This study concludes that self-awareness contributes to academic achievement among nursing students, although other factors also play a role. Therefore, educational institutions are encouraged to develop programs that foster the enhancement of students’ self-awareness.
