Abstract
Penelitian ini berjudul “Pembelajaran Praktikum Berbasis Inkuiri Terbimbing untuk Meningkatkan Keterampilan Berpikir Kritis dan Penguasaan Konsep Siswa SMA pada Materi Kelarutan dan Hasil Kali Kelarutan”. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperoleh informasi mengenai pengaruh penerapan pembelajaran kelarutan dan hasil kali kelarutan melalui praktikum berbasis inkuiri terbimbing terhadap keterampilan berpikir kritis (KBKr) dan penguasaan konsep siswa, serta tanggapan siswa terhadap pembelajaran melalui metode praktikum berbasis inkuiri terbimbing. Dalam penelitian ini digunakan metode pre-experimental dengan one group pretest-posttest design. Subjek penelitian terdiri dari 28 orang siswa SMA Kelas XI. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah soal tes tertulis, angket, dan pedoman wawancara. Pencapaian KBKr dan penguasaan konsep siswa dihitung dengan rumus N-Gain. Hasil Penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan pembelajaran melalui praktikum berbasis inkuiri terbimbing pada materi kelarutan dan hasil kali kelarutan dapat meningkatkan KBKr dan penguasaan konsep siswa secara keseluruhan. Nilai N-Gain yang diperoleh pada peningkatan KBKr adalah sebesar 70,7%, dengan peningkatan tertinggi terjadi pada sub indikator KBKr menarik kesimpulan dari hasil menyelidiki (N-Gain = 80,5%) dan peningkatan terendah terjadi pada sub indikator KBKr mengidentifikasi atau merumuskan pertanyaan (N-Gain = 48,6%). Sedangkan peningkatan penguasaan konsep siswa diperoleh nilai N-Gain sebesar 71,4% dengan peningkatan tertinggi terjadi pada indikator menjelaskan hubungan nilai Qc dan Ksp dalam terbentuknya endapan (N-Gain = 77,1%) dan peningkatan terendah terjadi pada indikator menganalisis terbentuknya endapan berdasarkan nilai Ksp (N-Gain = 66,5%). Hasil angket dan wawancara menunjukkan bahwa siswa memberikan tanggapan postif terhadap pembelajaran melalui praktikum berbasis inkuiri terbimbing pada materi kelarutan dan hasil kali kelarutan dan siswa lebih termotivasi untuk belajar sehingga siswa lebih mudah memahami materi kelarutan dan hasil kali kelarutan. This research entitled “Pembelajaran Praktikum Berbasis Inkuiri Terbimbing untuk Meningkatkan Keterampilan Berpikir Kritis dan Penguasaan Konsep Siswa SMA pada Materi Kelarutan dan Hasil Kali Kelarutan”. This research aims to acquire information concerning the influence of application of solubility and solubility product learning through experiment which based on guided inquiry toward critical thinking skills and mastery of students’ concept, and students’ response toward experiment method based on guided inquiry learning. This research used pre-experimental method by one group pretest-posttest design. The research subject consisted of 28 students of XI grade in Senior High School. The instruments that were used were written test, questionnaire and interview guide line. The achievement of critical thinking skills and mastery of students’ concept were calculated by N-Gain formula. The result of this research showed that application of solubility and solubility product learning can improve critical thinking skills and mastery of totally students’ concept. The value of N-Gain that was acquired in the increase of critical thinking skills was 70,7%. The highest enhancement was in critical thinking skills sub indicator which was drawing the conclusion from the experiment result (N-Gain = 80,5%). Moreover, the lowest enhancement was in critical thinking skills sub indicator which was identifying or formulating a question (N-Gain = 48,6%). However, the increase of the mastery of students’ concept was acquired in N-Gain value 71,4% with the highest enhancement was in indicator explaining the relation of Qc value and Ksp in the formation of a precipitate (N-Gain = 77,1%). Additionally, the lowest enhancement was in indicator analyzing the formation of a precipitate based Ksp value (N-Gain = 66,5%). The result of questionnaire and interview showed that students give the positive response toward experiment which based on guided inquiry toward critical thinking skills learning in solubility and solubility product lesson. In addition, the students can be more motivated to learn with the intention of the students more understanding the lesson of solubility and solubility product.
