Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh rendahnya keterampilan kolaborasi siswa pada pembelajaran Ilmu Pengetahuan Sosial (IPS). Dalam konteks pendidikan abad 21, keterampilan kolaborasi merupakan salah satu kompetensi penting yang harus dimiliki oleh setiap siswa untuk dapat berpartisipasi secara aktif dalam kehidupan sosial dan dunia kerja di masa depan. Namun pada kenyataannya, masih banyak siswa yang menunjukkan sikap pasif, kurang mampu bekerja sama dalam kelompok, kurang terlibat secara aktif dalam diskusi, belum terbiasa mengemukakan pendapat secara terbuka, serta belum aktif dalam menyelesaikan tugas secara berkelompok. Salah satu upaya yang dapat dilakukan untuk mengatasi permasalahan tersebut adalah dengan menerapkan model cooperative learning tipe group investigation. Model ini menempatkan siswa sebagai subjek aktif dalam proses pembelajaran melalui penyelidikan kelompok, diskusi, dan presentasi hasil kerja secara kolaboratif. Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu untuk meningkatkan keterampilan kolaborasi siswa melalui penerapan model cooperative learning tipe group investigation pada pembelajaran IPS. Penelitian ini dilakukan di SMP Negeri 2 Cisaat menggunakan metode Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) yang mengacu pada desain spiral dari Kemmis dan Mc Taggart yang terdiri dari empat tahapan yaitu: perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi, dan refleksi. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui lembar observasi, catatan lapangan, dan wawancara. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang telah dilakukan menunjukkan bahwa indikator keterampilan kolaborasi siswa mengalami peningkatan dari setiap siklus yang dilaksanakan. Keterampilan kolaborasi siswa pada siklus 1 sebesar 69% dapat dikategorikan “Cukup”. Pada siklus 2 menunjukkan peningkatan hasil sebesar 86,5% yang dikategorikan “Sangat Baik”. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa penerapan model Cooperative Learning tipe Group Investiagtion dapat meningkatkan keterampilan kolaborasi siswa pada pembelajaran IPS. This research is motivated by the low collaborative skills of students in Social Studies (IPS) learning. In the context of 21st-century education, collaborative skills are one of the important competencies that every student must have to be able to actively participate in social life and the world of work in the future. However, in reality, many students still show a passive attitude, are less able to work together in groups, are less actively involved in discussions, are not used to expressing opinions openly, and are not active in completing assignments in groups. One effort that can be done to overcome this problem is by implementing a cooperative learning model of group investigation. This model places students as active subjects in the learning process through group investigations, discussions, and presentations of work results collaboratively. The purpose of this study is to improve students' collaborative skills through the application of the cooperative learning model of group investigation in IPS learning. This research was conducted at SMP Negeri 2 Cisaat using the Classroom Action Research (CAR) method that refers to the spiral design of Kemmis and Mc Taggart which consists of four stages: planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. Data collection techniques were carried out through observation sheets, field notes, and interviews. The results of the research indicate that students' collaborative skills improved with each cycle. In Cycle 1, 69% of students' collaborative skills were categorized as "Sufficient." In Cycle 2, the results increased to 86.5%, categorized as "Very Good." This demonstrates that the implementation of the Group Investigation Cooperative Learning model can improve students' collaborative skills in social studies learning.
