Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya motivasi belajar peserta didik pada mata pelajaran sejarah. Hal ini disebabkan oleh pembelajaran yang monoton dan membuat peserta didik jenuh. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji seberapa efektif model flipped classroomdalam meningkatkan motivasi belajar, khususnya pada mata pelajaran sejarah. Pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode quasi eksperimen dandesain non-equivalent control group dijadikan metode dan desain dalam penelitian.Kelas XI-K sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas XI-J sebagai kelas kontrol menjadi sampel penelitian ini. Uji Wilcoxon Sign Rank Testdan uji Mann-Whitney U Testdijadikan sebagai analisis data. Analisis data memberitahuterdapatpeningkatan motivasi belajar dikelas eksperimen. Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa model flipped classroomefektif dan dapat digunakan untuk meningkatkan motivasi belajar, khususnya dalam pembelajaran sejarah. Background of this research is low student motivation in historylesson. This is caused by monotonous learning, which makes students bored.This study aims to determine how effective the flipped classroom model is in enhancing learning motivation, particularly in history lessons. A quantitative approach was employed using a quasi-experimental method with a non-equivalent control group design. The sample consisted of class XI-K as the experimental group and class XI-J as the control group. Data were analyzed using the Wilcoxon Sign Rank Test and the Mann-Whitney U Test. The results revealed an increase in learning motivation within the experimental class. These findings highlight that the flipped classroom model is effective and can be applied to improve students’ learning motivation, especially in the context of history education
