    Abstract

    Student Engagement merupakan kemampuan siswa dalam melibatkan diri saat proses pembelajaran berlangsung baik secara behavior, emotional dan cognitive. Penelitian dilatarbelakangi oleh remaja yang menunjukkan tanda-tanda pelepasan (disengagement) misalnya, tidak terlibat dalam pembelajaran, apatis, tidak berusaha sangat keras, dan tidak memperhatikan guru.Layanan bimbingan dan konseling diyakini mampu meningkatkan Student Engagement yaitu dengan pemberian layanan bimbingan kelompok dengan growth mindset.Tujuan dari penelitian untuk menguji efikasi layanan bimbingan kelompok dengan Growth Mindset untuk meningkatkan Student Engagement. metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah quasi eksperimen dengan desain pretest dan posttest nonequivalent group design. Populasi penelitian berjumlah 405 orang. Sampel penelitian berjumlah 30 siswa terdiri dari 15 siswa kelompok eksperimen dan 15 siswa kelompok kontrol dengan menggunakan probability sampling. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bimbingan kelompok dengan Growth Mindset berefikasi untuk meningkatkan Student Engagement pada kelompok eksprerimen dengan nilai siginifikasi dibawah 0,05. Rekomendasi bagi penelitian selanjutnya dapat memfokuskan melaksanakan layanan bimbingan kelompok dengan Growth Mindset pada aspek emotional engagement dan behavioral engagement, hasil penelitian menunjukan aspek emotional engagement berada pada kategori rendah dan behavioral engagement berada pada kategori sedang. Student engagement refers to a student's ability to involve themselves in the learning process, whether behaviorally, emotionally, or cognitively. This research was motivated by observations of adolescents who show signs of disengagement, such as not participating in learning, being apathetic, not trying very hard, and not paying attention to the teacher.Guidance and counseling services are believed to be able to improve student engagement through group guidance services with a growth mindset. The purpose of this study was to test the efficacy of group guidance services with a growth mindset in improving student engagement. The research method used was a quasi-experiment with a pretest- posttest nonequivalent group design. The study's population consisted of 405 people. The research sample consisted of 30 students—15 students in the experimental group and 15 students in the control group—selected using probability sampling.The results of the study showed that group guidance with a growth mindset was effective in increasing student engagement in the experimental group, with a significance value below 0.05. Recommendations for future research can focus on implementing group guidance services with a growth mindset on the aspects of emotional and behavioral engagement, as the results showed that emotional engagement was in the low category and behavioral engagement was in the medium category.
