    Abstract

    ABSTRAK Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi dari kasus anak CP usia 13 tahun yang belum memiliki kemampuan toileting mandiri karena hambatan motorik dan keterbatasan aksesibilitas toilet di rumah. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengembangkan program toileting menggunakan toilet modifikasi. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara orang tua, dan studi dokumentasi. Analisis dilakukan secara deskriptif dengan mengaitkan temuan lapangan dan teori. Penelitian menghasilkan panduan langkah-langkah program toileting berbasis rumah yang terstruktur serta modifikasi toilet rumah yang disesuaikan dengan kemampuan dan kebutuhan anak, berupa alas duduk tambahan dengan sandaran, pegangan tambahan yang dipasang di lantai, kran dengan tuas panjang, serta ember pembilas yang disesuaikan dengan kondisi anak. Program dilengkapi dengan pedoman langkah-langkah dalam melakukan toileting menggunakan toilet yang dimodifikasi sesuai kebutuhan. Hasil penelitian ini dapat menjadi panduan praktis bagi orang tua dalam melatih kemandirian toileting di rumah serta berkontribusi pada peningkatan kualitas hidup anak CP. ABSTRACT This study was motivated by the case of a 13-year-old child with cerebral palsy (CP) who had not yet developed independent toileting skills due to motor impairments and limited toilet accessibility at home. The aim of this study was to develop a toileting program using a modified toilet. A qualitative approach with a case study method was employed. Data were collected through observations, interviews with parents, and document analysis. The data were analyzed descriptively by linking field findings with relevant theories. The study resulted in a structured home-based toileting program guide and modifications to the home toilet tailored to the child’s abilities and needs. The modifications included an additional seat with back support, a floor-mounted handrail, a faucet with a long lever, and an adapted rinsing bucket to accommodate the child’s condition. The program was complemented with step-by-step guidelines for conducting toileting using the modified toilet according to the child’s needs. The findings of this study can serve as practical guidance for parents in fostering independent toileting at home and contribute to improving the quality of life of children with CP.
