Abstract

Penelitian penciptaan ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan sebuah tayangan televisi bergenre magazine berjudul Creative Labs: The Art of Knitting yang mengangkat komunitas rajut Splendore Workshop di Bandung sebagai sumber inspirasi pengembangan kreativitas masyarakat. Di tengah dominasi tayangan televisi yang bersifat hiburan populer, karya ini hadir untuk memperkaya konten edukatif dan inspiratif dengan memanfaatkan pendekatan naratif dan visual yang kuat. Teori naratif Walter Fisher digunakan sebagai landasan utama untuk mengukur koherensi dan fidelitas narasi, sehingga mampu membangun keterikatan emosional antara tayangan dan audiens. Proses penciptaan terdiri dari tiga tahap: pra produksi, produksi, dan pasca produksi, dengan penekanan pada teknik sinematografi, pemanfaatan motion graphic, serta penggunaan voice over yang komunikatif. Tayangan ini juga dirancang agar responsif terhadap tren visual dan segmentasi penonton generasi muda yang terbiasa dengan konten digital. Hasil penciptaan menunjukkan bahwa tayangan televisi berbasis komunitas dapat berfungsi sebagai medium efektif untuk menyampaikan nilai seni, memperkuat identitas lokal, serta merangsang kreativitas melalui narasi personal dan visual yang estetis. Dengan mengangkat seni rajut sebagai aktivitas yang inklusif, program ini tidak hanya mendokumentasikan proses kreatif, tetapi juga memfasilitasi ruang dialog, refleksi, dan inspirasi antarpenonton dan pelaku komunitas. This creation research aims to develop a magazine television show entitled Creative Labs: The Art of Knitting that highlights the Splendore Workshop knitting community in Bandung as a source of inspiration for the development of community creativity. In the midst of the dominance of television shows that are popular entertainment, this work is present to enrich educational and inspirational content by utilizing a strong narrative and visual approach. Walter Fisher's narrative theory is used as the main foundation to measure the coherence and fidelity of the narrative, so as to build emotional attachment between the show and the audience. The creation process consists of three stages: pre-production, production, and post-production, with an emphasis on cinematography techniques, utilization of motion graphics, and the use of communicative voice over. The show was also designed to be responsive to visual trends and the audience segmentation of the younger generation who are accustomed to digital content. The results show that community-based television can serve as an effective medium to convey artistic values, strengthen local identity, and stimulate creativity through personal narratives and aesthetic visuals. By promoting knitting as an inclusive activity, the program not only documents the creative process, but also facilitates a space for dialogue, reflection, and inspiration between viewers and community actors.
