Abstract
ABSTRAK “Analisis Swot Kesiapan Impelementasi Model Pembelajaran Teaching Factory Otomotif UPI.” Muhamad Eksa (2009317). Program Studi Pendidikan Teknik Otomotif. Fakultas Pendidikan Teknik dan Industri. Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kesiapan implementasi model pembelajaran Teaching Factory Otomotif Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia (UPI). Penelitian menggunakan Mix Methode melalui angket, wawancara, dan observasi terhadap dua belas responden yang terdiri atas pimpinan fakultas, wakil dekan bidang akademik, wakil dekan bidang sumber daya keuangan dan umum, wakil dekan kemahasiswaan, ketua program studi, dosen ada 2, pranata laboratorium Pendidikan ada 2, dan mahasiswa ada 3. Hasil angket menunjukkan bahwa kesiapan Teaching Factory Otomotif UPI secara keseluruhan berada pada kategori siap, dengan rata-rata capaian 85%. Jika ditinjau per aspek SWOT, kekuatan (Strength) memperoleh skor 88%, kelemahan (Weakness) berada pada 40%, peluang (Opportunity) mencapai 84%, dan ancaman (Threat) sebesar 42%. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa kekuatan dan peluang lebih dominan dibandingkan kelemahan dan ancaman. Hasil observasi mendukung hal tersebut, di mana sebagian besar sarana praktik berada pada kategori siap, meliputi alat tangan (80% siap), alat ukur (75% siap), alat listrik (70% siap), alat bertenaga (65% siap), dan peralatan layanan khusus (72% siap). Namun, beberapa peralatan khusus seperti impact wrench, vacuum gauge, dan smoke tester masih tercatat 0% atau belum tersedia. Hasil wawancara memperkuat data angket dan observasi, di mana pimpinan fakultas, wakil dekan bidang sumber daya keuangan dan umum, kaprodi, dosen, PLP, dan mahasiswa menunjukkan dukungan serta komitmen yang tinggi dalam implementasi Teaching Factory, selaras dengan kebijakan MBKM. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa implementasi Teaching Factory Otomotif UPI berada pada kategori siap, meskipun masih diperlukan peningkatan kelengkapan sarana, prasarana, serta adaptasi terhadap perkembangan teknologi otomotif terkini. Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia. This study aims to describe the readiness for implementing the Teaching Factory model in Automotive Education at Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia (UPI). The research employed a mixed-methods approach using questionnaires, interviews, and observations with twelve respondents, consisting of the faculty leadership, the vice dean for academic affairs, the vice dean for finance, resources, and general affairs, the vice dean for student affairs, the head of study program, two lecturers, two educational laboratory staff, and three students. The questionnaire results indicated that the overall readiness of the Automotive Teaching Factory at UPI falls into the “ready” category, with an average achievement of 85%. When viewed from the SWOT aspects, strengths scored 88%, weaknesses 40%, opportunities 84%, and threats 42%. These findings suggest that strengths and opportunities are more dominant than weaknesses and threats. The observation results support this, showing that most practice facilities are in the “ready” category, including hand tools (80% ready), measuring instruments (75% ready), electrical tools (70% ready), power tools (65% ready), and special service tools (72% ready). However, several specific tools such as impact wrenches, vacuum gauges, and smoke testers were recorded at 0% or not yet available. The interview results further reinforced the questionnaire and observation data, indicating that the faculty leadership, the vice dean for finance, resources, and general affairs, the head of the study program, lecturers, laboratory staff, and students demonstrate strong support and commitment toward the implementation of the Teaching Factory, in line with the MBKM policy. Thus, it can be concluded that the implementation of the Automotive Teaching Factory at UPI is in the “ready” category, although improvements are still required in terms of the completeness of facilities and infrastructure, as well as adaptation to the latest developments in automotive technology.
