Abstract

Hubungan parasosial merupakan suatu hubungan yang diciptakan oleh penggemar sebagai hasil dari interaksi parasosial yang dilakukan kepada figur media yang dijadikan sebagai idola. Penelitian ini membahas gambaran umum hubungan parasosial yang dimiliki oleh peserta didik di SMA Negeri 6 Bandung, khususnya bagi yang memiliki akun media sosial X. Teknik sampel yang digunakan adalah purposive sampling dan mendapatkan total 100 peserta didik sebagai sampel. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kuantitatif, metode survei dan desain crossectional dengan menggunakan instrumen berupa skala Celebrity Attitude Scale (CAS). Penelitian ini mengkaji intensitas keterlibatan peserta didik dalam hubungan parasosial yang dibentuknya dengan idola. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa mayoritas peserta didik berada pada kategori sedang dalam hubungan parasosial. Hasil penelitian juga mengindikasikan pentingnya pelaksanaan layanan bimbingan kelompok sebagai upaya preventif bagi peserta didik agar tidak mengembangkan hubungan parasosial yang mengarah pada keterlibatan ekstrem. Parasocial relationships are relationships created by fans as a result of parasocial interactions with media figures they admire. This study discusses the general characteristics of parasocial relationships among students at SMA Negeri 6 Bandung, particularly those who have an X (formerly Twitter) social media accounts. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling, with a total of 100 students as the sample. The research design employed a quantitative approach, using a survey method and a cross-sectional design, using the Celebrity Attitude Scale (CAS) as the instrument. The study examined the intensity of students' involvement in the parasocial relationships they formed with their idols. The results indicated that the majority of students fell into the moderate category in terms of parasocial relationships. The results also indicate the importance of implementing group counseling services as a preventive measure for students to avoid developing parasocial relationships that lead to extreme involvement.
