Abstract
Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh permasalahan di sekolah dasar bahwa peserta didik belum ada data tentang keterampilan membaca nyaring khususnya pada aspek pelafalan, intonasi, dan jeda. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis keterampilan membaca nyaring di kelas V di Sekolah Dasar. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui tes unjuk kerja membaca nyaring, wawancara, serta dokumentasi kepada peserta didik dan pada aspek intonasi, disusul oleh aspek pelafalan, sedangkan aspek jeda guru kelas. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kesalahan paling dominan terdapat memiliki capaian yang relatif lebih baik. Pada pelafalan, sebagian besar peserta didik melakukan kesalahan melafalkan kata pada bacaan, dengan hanya 2 siswa yang mencapai kategori cukup baik. Pada intonasi, mayoritas membaca secara monoton dan hanya 1 peserta didik yang memperoleh kategori cukup baik. Sementara itu, pada jeda, 4 peserta didik masuk kategori cukup baik, namun kesalahan yang sering terjadi adalah peserta didik sering berhenti pada bagian yang tidak ada tanda baca atau melewati tanda baca seperti titik dan koma ketika saat membaca nyaring. Hal yang mempengaruhi kondisi tersebut dikarenakan banyaknya peserta didik yang masih belum familiar dengan beberapa kosakata dalam teks bacaan, sehingga mereka ragu-ragu dalam melafalkan kata dan cenderung melakukan pengulangan atau penggantian kata yang tidak sesuai. Selain itu dipengaruhi oleh faktor lingkungan, logat kedaerahan, serta kurangnya pembiasaan membaca di rumah maupun di sekolah yang turut memperparah kesalahan tersebut. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut maka dapat diketahui bahwa keterampilan membaca nyaring kelas V masih belum optimal. This research is motivated by the problem in elementary schools that students do not have data on reading aloud skills, especially in the aspects of pronunciation, intonation, and pauses. Therefore, this study aims to analyze reading aloud in grade V in elementary schools. This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study method. Data collection techniques were carried out through reading aloud performance tests, interviews, and documentation to students and on the intonation aspect, followed by the pronunciation aspect, while the pause aspect was carried out by the class teacher. The results showed that the most dominant errors were found to have relatively better achievements. In pronunciation, most students made mistakes pronouncing words in the reading, with only 2 students achieving a fairly good category. In intonation, the majority read monotonously and only 1 student achieved a fairly good category. Meanwhile, in pauses, 4 students were in the fairly good category, but the most common errors were students often stopping at parts that had no punctuation or skipping punctuation such as periods and commas when reading aloud. This condition is influenced by the fact that many students are still unfamiliar with some of the vocabulary in reading texts, causing them to hesitate in pronouncing words and tend to repeat or substitute inappropriate words. Furthermore, environmental factors, regional accents, and a lack of reading habits at home and at school contribute to these errors. Based on these results, it can be seen that fifth-grade reading skills are still suboptimal.
