Abstract
Keterampilan menulis teks eksplanasi penting bagi peserta didik karena mendukung berpikir kritis, logis, dan membantu menyampaikan informasi secara terstruktur. Namun, kenyataannya banyak peserta didik mengalami kebingungan ketika akan memulai menulis, kesulitan dalam mengungkapkan gagasan dan menyusun teks eksplanasi secara terstruktur. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh Media Peta Konsep Terhadap Keterampilan Menulis Teks Eksplanasi Kelas V Sekolah Dasar. Pendekatan yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif dengan metode pre-eksperimental dengan desain one group pretest-posttest. Subjek penelitian terdiri dari 35 peserta didik kelas V di salah satu Sekolah Dasar. Instrumen penelitian berupa tes menulis teks eksplanasi dan rubrik penilaian. Teknik analisis data yaitu analisis deskriptif dan inferensial. Analisis deskriptif mencakup nilai minimum, maksimum, rata-rata, standar deviasi, serta distribusi kategori berdasarkan interval. Sedangkan analisis inferensial dilakukan menggunakan uji normalitas dan uji hipotesis Paired Sampel T-test karena berdistribusi normal. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terjadi peningkatan skor menulis teks esksplanasi setelah diterapkannya Media Peta Konsep. Pada pretest, 14% peserta didik termasuk kategori sedang, 33% kategori tinggi, 71% kategori rendah, dan 14% kategori sangat rendah. Sedangkan pada posttest, 72% termasuk kategori sangat tinggi dan 28% kategori tinggi. Rata-rata nilai meningkat dari 35,29 pada pretest menjadi 80,86 pada posttest dengan standar deviasi 8,655 dan 8,701. Hasil uji hipotesis menunjukkan nilai signifikansi sebesar 0,000 < 0,05 yang berarti terdapat pengaruh signifikan antara nilai pretest dan posttest. Dengan demikian, media peta konsep terbukti berpengaruh positif terhadap peningkatan keterampilan menulis teks eksplanasi peserta didik kelas V Sekolah Dasar. Explanatory text writing skills are important for students because they support critical and logical thinking and help convey information in a structured manner. However, many students experience confusion when starting to write, having difficulty expressing ideas and composing explanatory texts in a structured manner. This study aims to determine the effect of Concept Map Media on the explanatory text writing skills of fifth-grade elementary school students. The approach used was quantitative with a pre-experimental method with a one-group pretest-posttest design. The study subjects consisted of 35 fifth-grade students at an elementary school. The research instruments were an explanatory text writing test and an assessment rubric. The data analysis techniques are descriptive and inferential analysis. Descriptive analysis includes minimum, maximum, average, standard deviation, and category distribution based on intervals. While inferential analysis was conducted using normality test and Paired Sample T-test hypothesis test because it is normally distributed. The results of the study showed that there was an increase in explanatory text writing scores after the implementation of Concept Map Media. In the pretest, 14% of students were in the medium category, 33% in the high category, 71% in the low category, and 14% in the very low category. While in the posttest, 72% were in the very high category and 28% in the high category. The average value increased from 35.29 in the pretest to 80.86 in the posttest with standard deviations of 8.655 and 8.701. The results of the hypothesis test showed a significance value of 0.000 <0.05, which means there is a significant influence between the pretest and posttest scores. Thus, concept map media has been proven to have a positive effect on improving the explanatory text writing skills of fifth grade elementary school students.
