Abstract
Latar belakang penelitian ini dilandasi oleh keterbatasan media yang tersedia di sekolah, seperti papan pantule, yang dinilai kurang efektif dalam membantu siswa memahami pola titik Braille secara konkret dan individual, terutama bagi siswa tunanetra dengan hambatan tambahan seperti hambatan intelektual ringan dan slow learner. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan media flashcard Braille bagi anak dengan hambatan penglihatan pada pembelajaran konsep huruf Braille. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Penelitian pembangan dengan desain ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). Subjek penelitian terdiri dari tiga siswa tunanetra di SLB Sukabumi, dua diantaranya memiliki hambatan ganda. Teknik pengumpulan data meliputi wawancara, observasi, dokumentasi, angket validasi ahli, dan angket respon pengguna. Hasil validasi ahli media dan materi menunjukkan tingkat kelayakan sebesar 95,4%, sedangkan hasil respon guru dan siswa mencapai 93,5%, yang keduanya termasuk dalam kategori "sangat layak". Media flashcard Braille yang dikembangkan terbukti membantu siswa mengenali titik-titik Braille secara lebih konkret dan menyenangkan. The background of this research is based on the limitations of media available in schools, such as the pentule board, which is considered less effective in helping students understand Braille dot patterns concretely and individually, especially for blind students with additional disabilities such as mild intellectual disabilities and slow learners. This research aims to develop Braille flashcard media for children with visual impairments in learning Braille letter concepts. This research uses the development research method with the ADDIE design (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). The research subjects consisted of three blind students at SLB Sukabumi, two of whom had multiple disabilities. Data collection techniques included interviews, observations, documentation, expert validation questionnaires, and user response questionnaires. The results of media and material expert validation showed a feasibility level of 95.4%, while the results of teacher and student responses reached 93.5%, both of which were included in the "very feasible" category. The developed Braille flashcard media was proven to help students recognize Braille dots more concretely and enjoyably.
