Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui profil adaptabilitas karier remaja panti asuhan, menyusun rancangan bimbingan karier desain kehidupan untuk mengembangkan adaptabilitas karier, serta menguji efektivitasnya dalam meningkatkan kapasitas adaptabilitas karier remaja. Adaptabilitas karier menjadi kompetensi penting bagi remaja, terutama yang tinggal di panti asuhan, karena mereka sering menghadapi keterbatasan dukungan sosial dan akses informasi karier. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuasi eksperimen dengan desain pre-test–post-test control group. Subjek penelitian terdiri dari remaja panti asuhan di Kota Bandung yang dibagi ke dalam kelompok eksperimen dan kelompok kontrol, masing-masing berjumlah 15 orang. Instrumen penelitian menggunakan Career Adapt-Abilities Scale versi Indonesia. Analisis data dilakukan secara deskriptif untuk memetakan profil adaptabilitas karier serta menggunakan uji non-parametrik Wilcoxon Signed-Rank Test untuk menguji hipotesis.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar remaja berada dalam kategori adaptif, meskipun masih ada yang termasuk maladaptif. Program bimbingan karier desain kehidupan disusun untuk memperkuat empat aspek utama adaptabilitas, yaitu concern, control, curiosity, dan confidence. Uji hipotesis menunjukkan adanya perbedaan signifikan antara skor pre-test dan post-test kelompok eksperimen, yang berarti program ini berpengaruh positif dalam meningkatkan adaptabilitas karier remaja panti asuhan. Simpulan penelitian ini menegaskan bahwa bimbingan karier desain kehidupan memiliki pengaruh yang signifikan dalam membantu remaja panti asuhan mengembangkan adaptabilitas karier. Program ini dapat menjadi salah satu strategi penting dalam layanan bimbingan karier untuk menyiapkan remaja menghadapi perubahan dunia kerja secara lebih adaptif dan percaya diri. This study aims to identify the career adaptability profile of adolescents living in orphanages, to develop a life design career guidance program to enhance career adaptability, and to examine its effectiveness in improving adolescents’ career adaptability capacity. Career adaptability is an essential competence for adolescents, particularly those residing in orphanages, as they often face limited social support and restricted access to career-related information. The study employed a quasi-experimental approach using a pre-test–post-test control group design. The research subjects were adolescents from orphanages in Bandung, divided into an experimental group and a control group, each consisting of fifteen participants. The research instrument used was the Indonesian version of the Career Adapt-Abilities Scale. Data analysis was conducted descriptively to map the profile of career adaptability and statistically through the non-parametric Wilcoxon Signed-Rank Test to test the hypothesis. The findings revealed that most adolescents were categorized as adaptive, although some remained in the maladaptive category. The life design career guidance program was developed to strengthen the four core dimensions of career adaptability: concern, control, curiosity, and confidence. The hypothesis testing indicated a significant difference between the pre-test and post-test scores of the experimental group, suggesting that the program was effective in improving career adaptability among orphanage adolescents. sIn conclusion, the study confirms that life design career guidance is efficacious in fostering career adaptability among adolescents in orphanages. The program can serve as an important strategy in career guidance services to better prepare adolescents to face changes in the world of work with greater adaptability and confidence.
