Abstract
Kesuksesan akademik merupakan salah satu hal yang perlu dimiliki peserta didik sebagai pelajar. Namun, dalam prosesnya, seringkali peserta didik mengalami hambatan, tantangan, dan kemunduran akademik di kehidupan sehari-harinya, sehingga peserta didik perlu memiliki kemampuan dalam mengatasinya. Kemampuan tersebut saat ini dikenal dengan istilah academic buoyancy. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan gambaran academic buoyancy peserta didik di salah satu Madrasah Aliyah di Kota Bandung, gambaran tiap dimensi academic buoyancy peserta didiknya, serta rancangan layanan pengembangan academic buoyancy pada peserta didik tersebut. Pendekatan yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain penelitiannya cross-sectional dan metode survei. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar academic buoyancy peserta didik berada pada tingkatan sedang. Selain itu, tiap dimensi dari academic buoyancy-nya yang meliputi confidence, coordination, commitment, composure, dan control pada sebagian besar peserta didik juga sedang, sementara commitment sebagian besar peserta didiknya telah tinggi. Hal itu menunjukkan bahwa masih perlu adanya upaya pengembangan academic buoyancy-nya. Salah satu upaya tersebut yaitu dengan memberikan layanan dasar dengan strategi bimbingan kelompok. Penelitian ini menghasilkan rancangan pelaksanaan layanan yang dapat dijadikan sebagai acuan atau landasan bagi konselor/guru bimbingan dan konseling dalam upaya pengembangan academic buoyancy-nya di sekolah. Academic success is one of the things that students need to have as learners. However, in the process, students often encounter obstacles, challenges, and academic setbacks in their daily lives, so they need to have the ability to overcome them. This ability is now known as academic buoyancy. This study aims to describe the academic buoyancy of students at one Madrasah Aliyah in Bandung, the characteristics of each dimension of academic buoyancy among these students, and the service design of academic buoyancy development for them. The approach used in this study is quantitative, with a cross-sectional research design and survey method. The results of the study indicate that most students' academic buoyancy is at a moderate level. Additionally, each dimension of academic buoyancy, including confidence, coordination, commitment, composure, and control, is also moderate for most students, while commitment is high for most students. This indicates the need for efforts to develop academic buoyancy. One such effort is to provide basic services using group guidance strategies. This study provides a service implementation design that can serve as a reference or foundation for school counsellors in their efforts to develop academic buoyancy in schools.
