Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh konten edukasi sejarah dari akun TikTok @gejapramono terhadap minat pemahaman sejarah kedaerahan Generasi Z. Latar belakang penelitian ini berangkat dari meningkatnya penggunaan media sosial sebagai sumber informasi edukatif di kalangan generasi muda yang aktif menggunakan TikTok, yang membuka peluang bagi konten edukasi sejarah menjadi media pembelajaran yang relevan dan dekat dengan keseharian mereka. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode survei melalui penyebaran kuesioner kepada pengikut akun @gejapramono yang dipilih dengan teknik purposive sampling, serta menggunakan teori Stimulus-Organism-Response (S-O-R) sebagai landasan analisis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa konten edukasi sejarah dari akun tersebut berpengaruh positif terhadap minat pemahaman sejarah kedaerahan Generasi Z, terutama melalui faktor frekuensi dan atensi terhadap konten yang disajikan. Temuan ini juga mengindikasikan bahwa penyampaian yang komunikatif, visual menarik, dan narasi yang kontekstual mampu meningkatkan minat belajar serta mendorong perilaku positif berupa meningkatnya kesadaran dan apresiasi terhadap sejarah dan budaya lokal. Penelitian ini menegaskan bahwa media sosial, khususnya TikTok, tidak hanya berfungsi sebagai sarana hiburan, tetapi juga dapat menjadi media pembelajaran alternatif yang efektif, interaktif, dan sesuai dengan karakteristik Generasi Z This research aims to determine the influence of historical educational content This study aims to examine the influence of historical educational content from the TikTok account @gejapramono on Generation Z’s interest in understanding local history. The background of this research stems from the growing use of social media as an educational information source among young people who are highly active on TikTok, providing opportunities for historical education content to serve as a relevant and relatable learning medium. Using a quantitative approach with a survey method distributed to followers of @gejapramono selected through purposive sampling, this study applies the Stimulus-Organism-Response (S-O-R) theory as its analytical framework. The findings reveal that historical educational content from the account positively influences Generation Z’s interest in understanding local history, particularly through the frequency and attention given to the content. The results also indicate that communicative delivery, engaging visuals, and contextual storytelling significantly enhance learning motivation and foster positive behavioral changes, such as increased awareness and appreciation of history and local culture. Therefore, this research emphasizes that social media, especially TikTok, functions not only as a platform for entertainment but also as an effective, interactive, and contextually relevant learning medium for Generation Z.
