Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning terhadap motivasi belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran Pendidikan Jasmani, Olahraga, dan Kesehatan di SMP Nugraha Bandung. Latar belakang penelitian menunjukkan rendahnya motivasi dan partisipasi aktif siswa dalam pembelajaran PJOK akibat metode pembelajran konvensional. Penelitian tindakan kelas ini melibatkan 32 siswa kelas VIII-A SMP Nugraha Bandung sebagai subjek penelitian, dengan menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif. Data dikumpulkan melalui angket motivasi belajar (intrinsik dan ekstrinsik) yang telah teruji validitas dan reliabilitasnya, serta observasi selama dua siklus pembelajaran. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan peningkatan motivasi belajar siswa yang signifikan setelah penerapan model PBL. Pada Siklus I, sebanyak 19% siswa mencapai Kriteria Ketuntasan Minimal. Setelah Siklus II, persentase Kriteria Ketuntasan Minimal meningkat mencapai 81% siswa. Peningkatan ini tidak hanya tercermin dari capaian KKM, tetapi juga dari observasi partisipasi aktif, antusiasme, dan perubahan sikap positif siswa selama proses pembelajaran. Temuan ini mengindikasikan bahwa PBL efektif dalam menciptakan lingkungan belajar yang lebih dinamis, relevan, dan memotivasi, sejalan dengan prinsip konstruktivisme dan Self-Determination Theory. Penelitian ini membuktikan bahwa model PBL dapat menjadi strategi yang efektif untuk meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran PJOK dan mengembangkan motivasi belajar siswa secara menyeluruh. This study aims to analyze the effect of the Problem Based Learning learning model on students' learning motivation in Physical Education, Sports, and Health at SMP Nugraha Bandung. The background of the study shows low motivation and active participation of students in PJOK learning due to conventional learning methods. This classroom action research involved 32 students of class VIII-A of SMP Nugraha Bandung as research subjects, using a quantitative approach. Data were collected through learning motivation questionnaires (intrinsic and extrinsic) whose validity and reliability have been tested, as well as observations during two learning cycles. The results of the study showed a significant increase in students' learning motivation after the implementation of the PBL model. In Cycle I, 19% of students achieved the Minimum Completion Criteria. After Cycle II, the percentage increased to 81% of students. This increase was not only reflected in the achievement, but also from observations of active participation, enthusiasm, and changes in students' positive attitudes during the learning process. These findings indicate that PBL is effective in creating a more dynamic, relevant, and motivating learning environment, in line with the principles of constructivism and Self Determination Theory. This research demonstrates that the PBL model can be an effective strategy for improving the quality of physical education learning and developing students' overall learning motivation.
