Abstract
Rendahnya hasil belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran Dasar Sistem Mekanik, khususnya materi tegangan dan regangan, masih rendah karena sebagian besar belum mencapai KKM. Hal ini disebabkan kurangnya partisipasi aktif siswa dan minimnya variasi media pembelajaran. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini menerapkan model Problem Based Learning (PBL) yang bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keterlibatan, kemampuan berpikir kritis, dan pemecahan masalah siswa. Tujuan penelitian untuk mengetahui peningkatan hasil belajar siswa dengan menerapkan metode PBL. Diantaranya mengetahui pengetahuan awal siswa sebelum penerapan Problem Based Learning (PBL), hasil belajar setelah penerapan Problem Based Learning (PBL) serta besar peningkatan hasil belajar siswa yang dicapai khususnya pada materi tegangan dan regangan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kuantitatif dengan pre-experimental tipe One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan menunjukkan nilai rata-rata pretest sebesar 40,24 dan posttest sebesar 76,61. Nilai rata-rata N-Gain ternormalisasi sebesar 0,59 berada pada kategori sedang. Temuan ini mengindikasikan bahwa penerapan model PBL mampu meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa. The low learning outcomes of students in the Basic Mechanical Systems subject, especially voltage and strain materials, are still low because most of them have not reached the KKM. This is due to the lack of active participation of students and the lack of variety of learning media. Therefore, this study applies the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model which aims to improve student involvement, critical thinking skills, and problem-solving. The purpose of the study was to determine the improvement of student learning outcomes by applying the PBL method. Among them are knowing students' initial knowledge before the implementation of Problem Based Learning (PBL), learning outcomes after the implementation of Problem Based Learning (PBL) and the large increase in student learning outcomes achieved, especially in tension and strain materials. This study uses a quantitative descriptive method with a pre-experimental type of One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The results showed that the average pretest score was 40.24 and the posttest was 76.61. The average normalized N-Gain value of 0.59 is in the medium category. These findings indicate that the application of the PBL model is able to improve student learning outcomes.
