Abstract
Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh pentingnya peningkatan hasil belajar mahasiswa sebagai indikator kualitas pendidikan dan bekal untuk menghadapi tantangan global. Hasil belajar yang belum optimal pada beberapa program studi di Fakultas Pendidikan Ekonomi dan Bisnis (FPEB) Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia (UPI) menjadi perhatian utama. Salah satu faktor yang diduga berpengaruh adalah motivasi belajar, yang dalam teori Kognitif Sosial Albert Bandura berinteraksi dengan lingkungan, termasuk status sosial ekonomi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh motivasi belajar terhadap hasil belajar dengan status sosial ekonomi sebagai variabel moderator. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah survei eksplanatori. Sampel penelitian berjumlah 252 mahasiswa yang dipilih menggunakan teknik simple random sampling secara proporsional. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui kuesioner untuk mengukur motivasi belajar dan status sosial ekonomi. Analisis data dilakukan menggunakan Moderated Regression Analysis (MRA). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa hasil belajar dan motivasi belajar mahasiswa Fakultas Pendidikan Ekonomi dan Bisnis UPI Angkatan 2023 berada pada kategori tinggi. Motivasi belajar terbukti berpengaruh positif terhadap hasil belajar, artinya semakin tinggi motivasi, semakin tinggi pula hasil belajar yang dicapai. Selain itu, faktor-faktor dalam SES seperti pendidikan, pekerjaan dan juga pendapatan tidak memiliki pengaruh terhadap hasil belajar. SES tidak terbukti sebagai variabel moderator dalam hubungan antara motivasi belajar dan hasil belajar This research is motivated by the importance of improving students’ learning outcomes as an indicator of educational quality and as preparation to face global challenges. The less than-optimal learning outcomes in several study programs at the Faculty of Economics and Business Education (FPEB) at the Indonesia University of Education (UPI) have become a primary concern. One of the factors suspected to influence this is learning motivation, which in Albert Bandura’s Social Cognitive theory interacts with the environment, including socioeconomic status. This study aims to examine the effect of learning motivation on learning outcomes, with socioeconomic status as a moderating variable. The research method used is an explanatory survey. The sample consisted of 252 students selected using proportional simple random sampling. Data collection was carried out through questionnaires to measure learning motivation and socioeconomic status. Data analysis was conducted using Moderated Regression Analysis (MRA). The results show that the learning outcomes and learning motivation of students at the Faculty of Economics and Business Education, UPI Class of 2023, are in the high category. Learning motivation was proven to have a positive effect on learning outcomes, meaning the higher the motivation, the higher the achieved learning outcomes. Furthermore, factors within SES such as education, occupation, and income did not have an effect on learning outcomes. SES was not proven to be a moderating variable in the relationship between learning motivation and learning outcomes.
