    Abstract

    Kemampuan numerasi siswa di Indonesia yang masih dibawah rata - rata PISA 2022 dan masih berada pada kategori sedang dalam AKM. Menunjukkan kurangnya pembelajaran yang melatihkan kemampuan numerasi di luar mata pelajaran matematika, khususnya dalam pelajaran Biologi. Metode praktikum melibatkan langsung keaktifan siswa baik secara fisik hands-on dan pikiran minds-on, sehingga mengembangkan berbagai kemampuan ilmiah siswa. Tujuan penelitian meliputi untuk memperoleh informasi peningkatan kemampuan numerasi dan KPS siswa SMA melalui praktikum sistem pencernaan menggunakan Lembar Kerja Peserta Didik (LKPD) prosedural berbasis data hasil praktikum dan kontekstual berbasis studi kasus. Desain penelitian berupa pre-experimental one group pretest-posttest pada kelas XI SMA di Kota Bandung. Instrumen yang digunakan meliputi tes numerasi dan KPS (pretest-posttest), lembar observasi keterlaksanaan praktikum, dan angket respons siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan kemampuan numerasi dan KPS siswa secara signifikan setelah perlakuan. Skor N-Gain kemampuan numerasi setaip indicator berada pada kategori sedang dan KPS berada pada kategori sedang hingga tinggi. Observasi menunjukkan keterlaksanaan praktikum mencapai kategori “sangat layak”, dan respons siswa menunjukkan antusiasme tinggi terhadap pembelajaran berbasis praktikum. Oleh karena itu, praktikum kuantifikasi glukosa dan kalori makanan efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan numerasi dan KPS siswa. Student numeracy achievement in Indonesia is still below the PISA 2022 and remains in the moderate category in AKM. This indicates a lack of learning that trains numeracy skills outside of mathematics subjects, particularly in biology. The practical method involves direct student activity, both physically (hands-on) and mentally (minds-on), thereby developing various scientific skills in students. The research objectives include obtaining information on improvements in students' numeracy and KPS skills through digestive system laboratory experiments using procedural Student Worksheets (LKPD) based on experimental data results and contextual case studies. The research design is a pre-experimental one-group pre-test-post-test study in Grade XI high school classes in Bandung City. The instruments used include numeracy and KPS tests (pretest-posttest), an observation sheet for the implementation of the laboratory experiment, and a student response questionnaire. The research results indicate a significant improvement in students' numeracy and KPS skills after the intervention. The N-Gain scores for numeracy skills for each indicator are in the moderate category, and KPS skills are in the moderate to high category. Observations indicated that the implementation of the laboratory experiment reached the “very satisfactory” category, and student responses demonstrated high enthusiasm for laboratory-based learning. Therefore, the glucose and food calorie quantification laboratory experiment is effective in improving students' numeracy and KPS skills.
