    Abstract

    Museum berperan penting menyediakan sumber belajar bagi pembelajaran sejarah. Pembatasan interaksi sosial selama pandemi Covid-19 menuntut penerapan teknologi secara masif. Smart museum menjadi istilah populer yang berimplikasi pada koleksi museum mesti dikemas mengikuti perkembangan teknologi termutakhir. Pemanfaatan koleksi museum di Indonesia didominasi pelajar. Namun, fenomena ini tidak didukung studi persepsi siswa yang memadai. Tujuan penelitian hendak memberikan gambaran mengenai persepsi siswa tentang penyajian koleksi, penyampaian informasi koleksi dan kesesuaian koleksi museum dengan materi ajar sejarah. Metode yang digunakan yaitu metode survei dengan teknik pengumpulan data berbasis kuesioner dan wawancara. Sampel yang dilibatkan pada penelitian berjumlah 292 siswa SMA/SMK di Kota dan Kabupaten Bandung. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan siswa memiliki persepsi yang baik tentang koleksi Museum Diknas UPI dengan tingkat persentase mencapai 81,84%. Lebih lanjut, temuan persepsi siswa tentang penyajian koleksi museum memperoleh persentase sebesar 68,49% dengan kategori cukup, persepsi siswa terhadap penyajian informasi koleksi memperoleh persentase sebesar 80,81% dengan kategori baik dan persepsi siswa tentang kesesuaian koleksi dengan materi ajar sejarah memperoleh persentase sebesar 81,55% berada kategori baik. Dialog peneliti dan siswa mengungkap Museum Diknas UPI menyajikan koleksi museum dengan rapih, penyusunan koleksi kronologis, edukator yang interaktif, kontekstual serta mendukung materi ajar sejarah yang autentik, relevan, multiperspektif dalam lingkup sejarah nasional maupun lokal. Kendati demikian, ruang peningkatan tetap diperlukan seperti penyediaan caption yang lebih ringkas, pengembangan media yang lebih interaktif, pengelolaan dinamika rombongan serta perlu upaya mengatasi ketegangan antara keterbukaan pikiran dan kebutuhan akan otoritas pengetahuan yang dialami oleh siswa. Museums play a crucial role in providing learning resources for history learning. Social distancing during the Covid-19 pandemic necessitated the widespread adoption of technology. Smart museum implying that museum collections must be presented to reflect the latest technological developments. Museum collections in Indonesia are predominantly utilized by students. However, this phenomenon is not supported by adequate studies of student perceptions. The aim of this study was to provide an overview of student perceptions regarding collection presentation, the delivery of collection information, and the appropriateness of museum collections to history teaching materials. The method used was a survey with questionnaire-based data collection techniques and interviews. The sample included 292 high school/vocational high school students in Bandung City and Regency. The research findings indicate that students have a positive perception of the Museum Diknas UPI collection, with a percentage reaching 81.84%. Furthermore, student perceptions regarding the presentation of museum collections were categorized as sufficient at 68.49%, while perceptions regarding the presentation of collection information were categorized as good at 80.81%, and perceptions regarding the appropriateness of collections to history teaching materials were categorized as good at 81.55%. Museum Diknas UPI presents its collections neatly, organizes them chronologically, provides interactive and contextual teaching, and supports authentic, relevant, and multi-perspective history teaching materials within both national and local history. However, several improvements are still needed, such as providing more concise captions, developing more interactive media, managing group dynamics, and addressing the tension between open mindedness and the need for authoritative knowledge experienced by students.
