    Abstract

This study is motivated by the demands of the 21st century which emphasize the importance of higher-order thinking skills, particularly creative thinking. The problem addressed in this study is the limited variety of geography learning models, which are still teacher-centered and do not encourage student creativity. This study aims to analyze the differences in students' creative thinking abilities between the experimental class using the PjBL model and the control class using discovery learning in the 10th grade geography class at SMA Negeri 1 Ciamis, specifically in the subject of the hydrological cycle. The method used in this study was a quasi-experiment with a posttest-only control group design. The variables in this study were PjBL and creative thinking skills. The indicators of creative thinking skills examined in this study included fluency, flexibility, originality, elaboration, and evaluation. The subjects of this study were students in class X-8 as the experimental class and class X-3 as the control class, with a total of 72 students. The data analysis techniques used were normality tests, homogeneity tests, and hypothesis test (t-test). The t-test result show a significant difference in creative thinking ability between the experimental class and the control class, where the significance value is <0.001, which means smaller or >0.05. Thus, there is an effect of using the PjBL learning model on students' creative thinking skills. The recommendation from this study is that PjBL should be implemented for at least three meetings so that each stage runs optimally, and the projects given should be more varied to improve all indicators of creative thinking skills, especially flexibility.
