Abstract

Kondisi fisik lingkungan dan hunian sewa merupakan aspek penting yang dapat berkontribusi terhadap kesejahteraan dan hasil belajar mahasiswa. Masih ditemukan keluhan mahasiswa terkait kondisi lingkungan dan hunian sewa di sekitar kawasan UPI yang tidak memenuhi standar sehat dan layak. Hal tersebut berpotensi berhubungan dengan kesehatan dan hasil belajar mahasiswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh kondisi lingkungan dan hunian sewa Mahasiswa FPTI UPI terhadap kesehatan dan hasil belajar. Metode yang digunakan adalah mixed methods dengan model sequential explanatory. Data diperoleh melalui kuesioner, wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Hasil yang diperoleh dalam penelitian ini adalah sebagian besar mahasiswa FPTI tinggal di lingkungan dan hunian sewa dengan kondisi baik hingga sangat baik, memiliki tingkat kesehatan fisik yang juga tergolong baik hingga sangat baik serta sebanyak 74% mahasiswa FPTI memperoleh Indeks Prestasi (IP) ≥ 3,50. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan positif yang signifikan antara kondisi lingkungan dengan kesehatan dengan nilai hubungan yang rendah (r = 0,380). Namun, tidak terdapat hubungan antara kondisi lingkungan dan hunian sewa dengan hasil belajar. Sementara itu, terdapat juga pengaruh yang signifikan sebesar 22,7% pada kondisi hunian sewa terhadap kesehatan fisik mahasiswa. The physical conditions of the environment and rental housing are crucial aspects that can contribute to students’ well-being and academic achievement. Complaints are still found among students regarding the environmental and housing conditions around the UPI area that do not meet healthy and decent living standards. These conditions have the potential to affect students’ health and academic outcomes. This study aims to determine the influence of environmental and rental housing conditions on the health and learning outcomes of FPTI UPI students. This research employed a mixed-methods approach using a sequential explanatory model. Data were collected through questionnaires, interviews, observations, and documentation. The results obtained in this study show that the majority of FPTI students live in rental housing and environments with conditions ranging from good to very good, have physical health levels also classified as good to very good, and as many as 74% of FPTI students achieve a Grade Point Average (GPA) ≥ 3.50. The analysis results indicate a significant positive relationship between environmental conditions and health, with a low correlation value (r = 0.380). However, there is no relationship between environmental conditions and rental housing with academic achievement. Meanwhile, there is a significant influence of 22.7% of rental housing conditions on the physical health of the students.
