Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengoptimalkan pemahaman siswa terhadap gambar kerja pada mata pelajaran Desain Pemodelan Bangunan dengan menggunakan media pembelajaran berbasis teknologi yaitu BIMx. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) dengan model Kemmis & McTaggart, yang mencakup tahapan perencanaan, tindakan, observasi, dan refleksi, yang terdiri dari tiga siklus utama. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas XI DPIB 1 SMKN 7 Baleendah sebanyak 36 orang. Instrumen yang digunakan meliputi soal tes pemahaman gambar kerja, lembar observasi aktivitas siswa, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pemahaman siswa secara signifikan dari sebelum tindakan hingga siklus III. Rata-rata nilai siswa meningkat dari 47.829 (pra tindakan) menjadi 93,53 pada siklus III. Hasil uji N-Gain menunjukkan peningkatan dalam kategori sedang hingga tinggi, dan uji t menunjukkan signifikansi perbedaan hasil antar siklus. Penggunaan BIMx terbukti membantu siswa memahami elemen-elemen gambar kerja seperti denah, potongan, dan tampak secara visual, serta meningkatkan keterlibatan aktif siswa dalam pembelajaran. Dengan demikian, penggunaan BIMx dapat dijadikan sebagai alternatif strategi pembelajaran yang efektif dalam pendidikan vokasi bidang konstruksi. This study aims to optimize students' understanding of working drawings in the Building Modeling Design subject by utilizing BIMx, a technology-based learning media. The research employed a Classroom Action Research (CAR) method using the Kemmis & McTaggart model, conducted over three cycles consisting of planning, action, observation, and reflection phases. The research subjects were 36 students of Class XI DPIB 1 at SMKN 7 Baleendah. Instruments included working drawing comprehension tests, observation sheets, and documentation. The results showed a significant improvement in students' understanding from the pre-action stage to the third cycle. The average score increased from 47.829 (pre-test) to 93.53 in cycle III. N-Gain analysis indicated medium to high improvement levels, and the paired t-test confirmed a statistically significant difference between pre- and post-tests. The use of BIMx effectively supported students in visualizing key elements of working drawings—such as floor plans, sections, and elevations—and enhanced student engagement during learning. Therefore, BIMx can be considered an effective instructional strategy in vocational education related to construction fields.
