Abstract
Salah satu persoalan yang masih kerap ditemukan di lingkungan pendidikan tinggi, khususnya pada Program Studi Arsitektur FPTI UPI, adalah lamanya waktu penyelesaian studi mahasiswa yang disebabkan oleh berbagai hambatan akademik, salah satunya kesulitan dalam menyusun Tugas Akhir. Data menunjukkan bahwa sekitar 60% mahasiswa yang mengontrak mata kuliah Tugas Akhir memerlukan waktu lebih dari satu semester reguler (6 bulan) untuk menyelesaikannya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi tingkat kesulitan dalam penyelesaian Tugas Akhir serta menganalisis pengaruhnya terhadap lama masa studi mahasiswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan teknik analisis regresi linier sederhana. Data diperoleh melalui penyebaran kuesioner kepada mahasiswa angkatan 2018–2020 yang telah menyelesaikan Tugas Akhir, dengan total responden sebanyak 97 orang. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tingkat kesulitan penyelesaian Tugas Akhir tergolong tinggi dan memiliki pengaruh negatif terhadap lama masa studi dengan indikator yang terkategori rendah yakni fasilitas kampus. Dengan demikian, semakin tinggi tingkat kesulitan yang dialami mahasiswa dalam proses penyusunan Tugas Akhir, maka semakin besar pula kemungkinan terjadinya keterlambatan dalam penyelesaian studi. One of the recurring issues in higher education, particularly in the Architecture Study Program at FPTI UPI, is the extended time students take to complete their studies, which is often caused by various academic obstacles—one of which is the difficulty in completing the Final Project (Tugas Akhir). Data shows that approximately 60% of students enrolled in the Final Project course require more than one regular semester (6 months) to finish it. This study aims to identify the level of difficulty students face in completing the Final Project and analyze its influence on the duration of their studies. A quantitative approach was employed using simple linear regression analysis. Data were collected through questionnaires distributed to students from the 2018–2020 cohorts who had completed their Final Project, with a total of 97 respondents. The results indicate that the level of difficulty in completing the Final Project is relatively high and has a negative impact on the length of study, with one of the lowest-rated indicators being campus facilities. Thus, the higher the level of difficulty experienced by students during the Final Project process, the greater the likelihood of delays in completing their studies.
