    Abstract

    Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas penerapan model Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) dalam meningkatkan apresiasi seni siswa dalam kegiatan ekstrakurikuler tari. Latar belakang penelitian ini dilandasi oleh rendahnya apresiasi seni siswa yang cenderung hanya berfokus pada aspek teknis tari tanpa memahami makna, nilai budaya, dan konteks estetika karya tari tradisional. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan desain preexperimental one group pretest-posttest. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa yang aktif mengikuti kegiatan ekstrakurikuler tari di SMA Negeri 1 Cigugur, dengan jumlah 20 orang peserta. Instrumen yang digunakan meliputi angket apresiasi seni, lembar observasi, dan dokumentasi. Penerapan CTL dalam penelitian ini melibatkan tujuh komponen utama, yaitu konstruktivisme, inkuiri, bertanya, masyarakat belajar, pemodelan, refleksi, dan penilaian autentik, yang diterapkan secara terpadu dalam tiga kali pertemuan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan skor apresiasi seni siswa dari nilai rata-rata pretest sebesar 33 menjadi 83 pada posttest. Peningkatan ini mencerminkan keberhasilan model CTL dalam membangun kemampuan siswa dalam mengamati, menghayati, menilai, dan menghargai karya tari secara utuh. Dengan demikian, model CTL terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan apresiasi seni siswa melalui pembelajaran yang bermakna, kontekstual, dan melibatkan pengalaman belajar yang aktif dan reflektif. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the application of the Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) model in improving students' art appreciation in dance extracurricular activities. The background of this study is based on the low art appreciation of students who tend to only focus on the technical aspects of dance without understanding the meaning, cultural values, and aesthetic context of traditional dance works. This study used a quantitative method with a pre-experimental one group pretest-posttest design. The subjects of the study were students who actively participated in dance extracurricular activities at SMA Negeri 1 Cigugur, with a total of 20 participants. The instruments used included an art appreciation questionnaire, observation sheets, and documentation. The application of CTL in this study involved seven main components, namely constructivism, inquiry, questioning, learning communities, modeling, reflection, and authentic assessment, which were implemented in an integrated manner in three meetings. The results showed an increase in students' art appreciation scores from an average pretest score of 33 to 83 in the posttest. This increase reflects the success of the CTL model in building students' abilities in observing, experiencing, assessing, and appreciating dance works as a whole. Thus, the CTL model has proven effective in increasing students' appreciation of art through meaningful, contextual learning, and involving active and reflective learning experiences.
