    Abstract

    Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis gambaran tingkat diskrepansi pilihan program studi mahasiswa Pendidikan Teknik Arsitektur Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia. Diskrepansi pilihan program studi merupakan ketidaksesuaian antara harapan awal mahasiswa terhadap program studi dengan kenyataan yang mereka alami. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan instrumen kuesioner sebagai data penelitian. Data dikumpulkan dari 87 mahasiswa program studi Pendidikan Teknik Arsitektur pada empat semester pertama yakni angkatan 2023 dan 2024. Analisis data dilakukan dengan bantuan program IBM SPSS Statistics 30 melalui penyajian tabel distribusi frekuensi, perhitungan nilai rata-rata (mean) dan skor total, serta perhitungan Tingkat Capaian Responden (TCR) untuk memperoleh interpretasi tingkat diskrepansi mahasiswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa diskrepansi pilihan program studi mahasiswa Pendidikan Teknik Arsitektur berada pada kategori cukup. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat diskrepansi pilihan program studi yang cukup signifikan antara ekspektasi awal mahasiswa Pendidikan Teknik Arsitektur Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia dengan realitas yang mereka hadapi di program studi. This study aims to analyze the level of discrepancy in study program choices among Architectural Engineering Education students at Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia. A discrepancy in study program choice refers to the mismatch between students’ initial expectations of the program and the reality they experience during their studies. This research employs a quantitative approach with a descriptive method. Data were collected through a questionnaire administered to 87 students of the Architectural Engineering Education program from the 2023 and 2024 cohorts, during their first four semesters. Data analysis was conducted with the assistance of IBM SPSS Statistics 30, using frequency distribution tables, calculations of the mean and total scores, as well as the Respondent Achievement Level (TCR) to interpret the degree of discrepancy. The results revealed that the level of discrepancy among students was categorized as moderate. These findings indicate a significant gap between the initial expectations of students in the Architectural Engineering Education program at Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia and the realities they face in the program.
