Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara pendidikan orang tua dengan kemandirian anak usia dini di sekolah mitra Program P3K UPI Kampus Tasikmalaya. Penelitian menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan pendekatan korelasional. Populasi penelitian adalah seluruh orang tua anak kelompok B (usia 5–6 tahun) di sekolah mitra, dengan sampel sebanyak 248 orang tua yang dipilih menggunakan teknik proportionate stratified random sampling. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah kuesioner pendidikan orang tua dan angket kemandirian anak yang telah divalidasi ahli dan diuji reliabilitasnya. Analisis data dilakukan dengan uji korelasi Spearman Rank. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat hubungan positif dan signifikan antara pendidikan orang tua dan kemandirian anak usia dini (rs = 0,432, p < 0,05). Semakin tinggi tingkat pendidikan orang tua, semakin tinggi pula tingkat kemandirian anak. Temuan ini mengimplikasikan pentingnya peran pendidikan orang tua dalam mendukung perkembangan kemandirian anak di usia dini. This study aims to determine the relationship between parental education and early childhood independence in partner schools of the P3K Program, UPI Tasikmalaya Campus. The study used a quantitative method with a correlational approach. The study population was all parents of group B children (aged 5–6 years) in partner schools, with a sample of 248 parents selected using proportionate stratified random sampling technique. The instruments used were a questionnaire on parental education and a questionnaire on child independence that had been validated by experts and tested for reliability. Data analysis was carried out using the Spearman Rank correlation test. The results showed a positive and significant relationship between parental education and early childhood independence (rs = 0.432, p < 0.05). The higher the level of parental education, the higher the level of child independence. This finding implies the important role of parental education in supporting the development of children's independence at an early age.
