Abstract
Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh perkembangan digitalisasi yang telah membawa perubahan besar dalam dunia pendidikan, khususnya melalui penggunaan platform digital sebagai sumber informasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengidentifikasi gambaran penggunaan platform digital oleh mahasiswa Pendidikan Teknik Arsitektur Angkatan dalam mencari informasi Sejarah Arsitektur, mengetahui pemahaman mahasiswa terhadap akurasi informasi, dan menganalisis pola pencariannya. Metode yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus. Pengumpulan data melibatkan kuesioner pra-penelitian, wawancara mendalam, observasi kelas, dan analisis dokumentasi tugas besar. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan model ini mencakup tiga fase yaitu IVS: Fase Pemicu dan Eksplorasi (Inspiration), Fase Validasi dan Verifikasi (Validation), serta Fase Sintesis dan Output (Synthesis). Ditemukan adanya kesenjangan signifikan antara kesadaran teoritis akan pentingnya akurasi informasi dengan praktik verifikasi yang sesungguhnya. Mahasiswa sering mengandalkan heuristik dan mengalami self-efficacy yang rendah, yang tercermin dari inkonsistensi sitasi pada konten visual. Pola pencarian ini menunjukkan bahwa kualitas output akademik berkorelasi langsung dengan ketelitian mahasiswa dalam proses verifikasi. Meskipun platform digital efektif meningkatkan akses dan visualisasi, tantangan kredibilitas informasi dan literasi digital masih perlu diatasi. The background of this study is the major transformation in the education landscape resulting from the advancement of digitalization, which is particularly evident in the utilization of digital platforms for informational purposes. This study aims to identify the use of digital platforms by students of the Architectural Engineering Education cohort when searching for Architectural History information, to understand their comprehension of information accuracy, and to analyze their search patterns. The method used is descriptive qualitative with a case study approach. Data collection involved a pre-research questionnaire, in-depth interviews, classroom observation, and analysis of major assignment documentation. The research findings show that this model has three phases, namely IVS: the Inspiration, Trigger, and Exploration Phase; the Validation and Verification Phase; and the Synthesis and Output Phase. A significant gap was found between the theoretical awareness of the importance of information accuracy and the actual practice of verification. Students often rely on heuristics and experience low self-efficacy, which is reflected in inconsistent citations for visual content. This search pattern indicates that the quality of academic output is directly correlated with the students' diligence in the verification process. While digital platforms are effective in increasing access and visualization, challenges related to information credibility and digital literacy still need to be addressed.
