    Abstract

    Praktik Kerja Industri adalah suatu kegiatan untuk mengaplikasikan teori yang didapatkan di sekolah ke dalam praktik langsung di lapangan. Dengan adanya Prakerin diharapkan dapat meningkatkan motivasi kerja yang tinggi. Penelitian ini memiliki tujuan untuk mengkaji pengaruh Prakerin terhadap peningkatan motivasi kerja siswa di SMK Negeri 2 Tasikmalaya. Dalam penelitian ini digunakan metode asosiatif dengan menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan pengumpulan data menggunakan kuesioner untuk mengukur gambaran prakerin dan motivasi kerja siswa. Sampel yang digunakan berjumlah 103 siswa kelas XII Desain Permodelan dan Informasi Bangunan di SMK Negeri 2 Tasikmalaya. Metode statistik deskriptif digunakan untuk menggambarkan prakerin dan motivasi kerja siswa. Selanjutnya digunakan analisis regresi linear dan uji-F. Hasil dari uji-F didapatkan nilai F hitung > F tabel atau 28,571 > 3,94 yang berarti adanya pengaruh signifikan. Persamaan regresi Y =12,717 + 0,525. Dari hasil tersebut maka pelaksanaan Prakerin berpengaruh positif signfikan terhadap motivasi kerja siswa di SMK Negeri 2 Tasikmalaya. Nilai koefisien determinasi (R square) sebesar 0,221, menandakan bahwa variabel prakerin berkontribusi sebesar 22,1% terhadap motivasi kerja siswa, sedangkan sisanya sebesar 77,9% dipengaruhi oleh faktor ekternal yang tidak diteliti. Industrial Work Practice is an activity to apply the theories obtained at school into direct practice in the field. The existence of this program (Prakerin) is expected to increase students’ work motivation. This research aims to examine the effect of Prakerin on improving students’ work motivation at SMK Negeri 2 Tasikmalaya. This study employed an associative method with a quantitative approach, in which data were collected through questionnaires to measure students’ perceptions of Prakerin and their work motivation. The sample consisted of 103 twelfth-grade students of the Department of Modeling Design and Building Information at SMK Negeri 2 Tasikmalaya. Descriptive statistical methods were used to describe Prakerin and students’ work motivation. Furthermore, linear regression analysis and the F-test were conducted. The result of the F-test showed that F calculated > F table, or 28.571 > 3.94, which indicates a significant effect. The regression equation obtained was Y = 12.717 + 0.525. Based on these findings, the implementation of Prakerin has a significantly positive effect on students’ work motivation at SMK Negeri 2 Tasikmalaya. The coefficient of determination (R square) was 0.221, indicating that the Prakerin variable contributes 22.1% to students’ work motivation, while the remaining 77.9% is influenced by external factors not examined in this study.
