Abstract
Upacara hajat laut memiliki makanan khas atau makanan tradisional. Upacara hajat laut merupakan tradisi tahunan masyarakat Pangandaran yang dilakukan di bulan Muharam. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji pelestarian makanan tradisional dalam upacara hajat laut di Pantai Pangandaran sebagai wisata gastronomi. Makanan tradisional yang menjadi ciri khasnya adalah pindang gunung. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode etnografi untuk menginventarisasi makanan tradisional, mengidentifikasi komponen gastronomi, menganalisis peran Nona Helix atau Salapan Cinyusu dalam pelestarian makanan tradisional, serta mengkaji upaya pelestarian makanan tradisional dalam upacara tersebut. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa makanan tradisional dalam upacara hajat laut bukan hanya sajian simbolik, tetapi juga berfungsi sebagai media pelestarian budaya sekaligus memiliki potensi ekonomi wisata. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa pelestarian makanan tradisional dalam upacara hajat laut berpotensi besar untuk dikembangkan sebagai wisata gastronomi berbasis budaya lokal. The sea ceremony has special or traditional foods. The sea ceremony is an annual tradition of the Pangandaran community that is held in the month of Muharam. This study aims to examine the preservation of traditional foods in the sea ceremony at Pangandaran Beach as a form of gastronomic tourism. The traditional food that characterizes this ceremony is pindang gunung. This study uses a qualitative approach with ethnographic methods to inventory traditional foods, identify gastronomic components, analyze the role of Nona Helix or Salapan Cinyusu in the preservation of traditional foods, and examine efforts to preserve traditional foods in the ceremony. The results of the study show that traditional foods in the sea ceremony are not only symbolic dishes, but also function as a medium for cultural preservation and have economic potential for tourism. This study concludes that the preservation of traditional foods in the sea ceremony has great potential to be developed as a cultural-based gastronomic tourism.
