    Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of the learning process in the training of the apprenticeship program to Japan at LPK Yayasan Sundagaiya, describe the role of Instructors in improving the quality of learning, and identify supporting and inhibiting factors for Instructors. This study uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. Data collection techniques use interviews, observations and documentation studies. The data analyst's procedures are data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawn. The results of the study show that (1) The implementation of the learning process in this training has included most of the activities that need to be carried out at each stage of learning which are categorized into three, namely: the initial stage (pre-instructional), the core stage (instructional) and the final stage (assessment and follow-up), consistently even though the details of these activities are not explicitly written in the learning plan. (2) Optimizing the role of instructors as class managers, supervisors, demonstrators, facilitators, motivators, and evaluators with an andragogic approach, proven to be able to improve the quality of learning in this training, which is shown through the fulfillment of most quality learning indicators (3) Supporting factors for instructors in improving the quality of learning in this training include the suitability of instructor qualifications and competencies, the availability of facilities and infrastructure learning support, institutional support, good internal factors of participants, and ease of access to learning resources. The inhibiting factors can occur if there is a misalignment of educational backgrounds, not having experience working in Japan and a certificate of Japanese language proficiency, there is still a lack of the number of projectors available and the maintenance of learning facilities and infrastructure is more optimized, especially in the classroom, as well as differences in the level of catch between participants.
