    Abstract

    Mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Teknik Bangunan (PTB) Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia angkatan 2022 mengalami berbagai hambatan dalam pengerjaan tugas terstruktur pada mata kuliah Building Information Modeling (BIM). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis faktor-faktor penghambat tersebut, baik dari aspek internal seperti kecerdasan, minat, perhatian, motivasi, dan kesiapan mental, maupun aspek eksternal seperti relasi dengan dosen, relasi antar mahasiswa, cara belajar, metode mengajar, dan fasilitas belajar. Desain penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kuantitatif dengan metode survei melalui kuesioner. Populasi penelitian adalah seluruh mahasiswa PTB angkatan 2022 yang mengontrak mata kuliah BIM sebanyak 82 orang, menggunakan teknik total sampling. Instrumen penelitian diuji validitas dan reliabilitas, dengan hasil Cronbach Alpha sebesar 0,932 yang menunjukkan reliabilitas sangat kuat. Data dianalisis menggunakan statistik deskriptif persentase. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa faktor internal menjadi penghambat dominan dengan persentase (54%), sedangkan faktor eksternal sebesar (46%). Faktor internal yang paling mempengaruhi adalah perhatian (64,72%), kecerdasan (64,47%), dan kesiapan mental serta emosional (64,39%). Sementara itu, faktor eksternal memiliki hambatan terbesar berasal dari relasi antar mahasiswa (65,21%), media dan metode mengajar (63,43%), serta keterbatasan fasilitas belajar (61,04%). Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah perlu adanya perbaikan dalam pendekatan pembelajaran, peningkatan dukungan pembelajaran BIM, dan penguatan soft skill mahasiswa untuk meminimalisir hambatan internal dan eksternal. Saran yang diberikan adalah mahasiswa diharapkan lebih aktif mencari bantuan atau berdiskusi dengan teman sejawat ketika menghadapi kesulitan dan perlunya peningkatan media dan metode pengajaran yang lebih interaktif, perbaikan fasilitas penunjang pembelajaran BIM, serta peningkatan program pendampingan untuk membangun lingkungan belajar yang lebih kolaboratif. Students of the Building Engineering of Education Study Program (PTB) Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia class of 2022 experience various obstacles in working on structured assignments in the Building Information Modelling (BIM) course. This study aims to analyze these inhibiting factors, both from internal aspects such as intelligence, interest, attention, motivation, and mental readiness, as well as external aspects such as relationships with lecturers, relationships between students, learning methods, teaching methods, and learning facilities. This research design use quantitative descriptive approach with a survey method through a questionnaire. The research population was all 2022 PTB students who contracted the BIM course is 82 people, using the total sampling technique. The research instrument was tested for validity and reliability, with the result of Cronbach Alpha of 0.932 which shows very strong reliability. Data were analyzed using percentage descriptive statistics. The results showed that internal factors became the dominant obstacle with a percentage of (54%), while external factors amounted to (46%). The most influential internal factors are attention (64.72%), intelligence (64.47%), and mental and emotional readiness (64.39%). Meanwhile, external factors, the biggest obstacles came from relationships between students (65.21%), media and teaching methods (63.43%), and limited learning facilities (61.04%). The study concludes that improving learning approaches, enhancing BIM learning support, and strengthening students’ soft skills are essential to minimize barriers. Suggestions include encouraging students to be more proactive in seeking help or discussing with peers, developing more interactive teaching methods, improving BIM facilities, and increasing mentoring programs to foster a more collaborative learning environment.
