    Abstract

    Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh gaji dan motivasi kerja terhadap profesionalisme guru TK di Kota Tasikmalaya. Latar belakang penelitian didasari oleh kondisi sebagian guru, masih menerima gaji rendah sehingga berpotensi memengaruhi motivasi dan kinerja profesional. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode survei. Sampel berjumlah 100 guru TK yang dipilih melalui teknik kuota sampling. Instrumen penelitian berupa kuesioner yang telah diuji validitas dan reliabilitasnya. Data dianalisis menggunakan uji asumsi klasik, dan regresi linier berganda. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa gaji berpengaruh positif namun tidak signifikan terhadap profesionalisme guru, sedangkan motivasi kerja berpengaruh positif dan signifikan. Secara simultan, gaji dan motivasi kerja berpengaruh signifikan terhadap profesionalisme dengan kontribusi sebesar 29,8%. Temuan ini mengindikasikan bahwa motivasi kerja memiliki peranan lebih besar dibandingkan gaji dalam membentuk profesionalisme guru TK, meskipun dukungan kesejahteraan tetap diperlukan. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan perlunya kebijakan terintegrasi untuk meningkatkan motivasi dan kesejahteraan guru, serta program pengembangan kompetensi yang berkelanjutan. Pemerintah dan pihak sekolah diharapkan berkolaborasi menciptakan lingkungan kerja yang mendukung kinerja profesional guru. This study aims to determine the effect of salary and work motivation on the professionalism of kindergarten teachers in Tasikmalaya City. The research background is based on the condition of some teachers, especially non-civil servants, who still receive low salaries, potentially affecting their motivation and professional performance. This research employs a quantitative approach with a survey method. The sample consisted of 100 kindergarten teachers selected using quota sampling techniques. The research instrument was a questionnaire that had passed validity and reliability testing. Data were analyzed using classical assumption tests and multiple linear regression analysis. The results showed that salary had a positive but insignificant effect on teacher professionalism, while work motivation had a positive and significant effect. Simultaneously, salary and work motivation significantly influenced professionalism with a contribution of 29.8%. These findings indicate that work motivation plays a greater role than salary in shaping the professionalism of kindergarten teachers, although welfare support remains necessary. The study concludes that integrated policies are needed to improve teacher motivation and welfare, along with continuous professional development programs. The government and schools are expected to collaborate in creating a work environment that supports teachers’ professional performance.
