    Abstract

    Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis preferensi wisatawan terhadap pengembangan daya tarik wisata alam di Ranca Upas, Ciwidey, Kabupaten Bandung. Berdasarkan latar belakang bahwa Ranca Upas menawarkan keindahan alam pegunungan, penangkaran rusa, dan berbagai aktivitas luar ruang, maka penting untuk mengetahui sejauh mana preferensi wisatawan memengaruhi keberlanjutan dan pengembangan destinasi ini. Penelitian ini merupakan tahap awal dari rangkaian Design and Development (D&D) yang diawali dengan analisis kebutuhan, dilakukan melalui pendekatan mixed method dengan penyebaran kuesioner kepada 157 responden yang pernah mengunjungi Ranca Upas dan wawancara semi-terstruktur dengan pihak pengelola. Variabel yang dianalisis di antaranya daya tarik (attraction), aksesibilitas (accessibility), fasilitas penunjang (amenities), dan layanan tambahan (ancillary services). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa mayoritas responden memberikan skor tinggi pada indikator keindahan lanskap, keberadaan satwa (rusa), kenyamanan fasilitas seperti toilet, tempat makan, spot foto, dan keamanan lokasi wisata. Preferensi paling dominan tercatat pada kegiatan memberi makan rusa, trekking, glamping, hingga berendam di kolam air panas. Sebaliknya, beberapa aspek yang masih perlu pengembangan meliputi fasilitas taman kelinci, agrowisata strawberry, dan sistem akses transportasi umum. Temuan ini memberikan rekomendasi strategis bagi pengelola untuk meningkatkan kualitas layanan, memperhatikan prinsip pariwisata berkelanjutan, dan mengutamakan kenyamanan wisatawan guna meningkatkan kepuasan dan kunjungan ulang ke Ranca Upas. This study aims to analyze tourist preferences regarding the development of natural attractions in Ranca Upas, Ciwidey, Bandung Regency. Given that Ranca Upas offers the scenic beauty of mountainous landscapes, a deer conservation area, and various outdoor activities, it is essential to determine the extent to which tourist preferences influence the sustainability and development of this destination. This research represents the initial stage of a Design and Development (D&D) process, beginning with a needs analysis, and was conducted using a mixed-method approach by distributing questionnaires to 157 respondents who had visited Ranca Upas and conducting semi-structured interviews with the management. The variables analyzed include attraction, accessibility, amenities, and ancillary services. The results indicate that the majority of respondents gave high scores for indicators such as landscape beauty, the presence of deer, comfort of facilities including toilets, dining areas, photo spots, and the safety of the tourist site. The most dominant preferences were recorded for activities such as feeding deer, trekking, glamping, and soaking in hot spring pools. Conversely, several aspects requiring further development include the rabbit park facilities, strawberry agro-tourism, and the public transportation access system. These findings provide strategic recommendations for the management to enhance service quality, prioritize sustainable tourism principles, and focus on visitor comfort to improve satisfaction and encourage repeat visits to Ranca Upas.
