Abstract
Penelitiam ini bertujuan merumuskan model konseling dalam mengembangkan meningkatkan efikasi diri mahasiswa. Model konseling yang dikembangkan melalui penelitian ini berdasarkan pendekatan penerimaan dan komitmen. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan single subject research dengan desain embedded. Penelitian terdiri atas empat Langkah, yaitu studi pendahuluan, pengembangan model, validasi rasional model, dan validasi empirik model. Pengembangan mosel konseling VINDA (verbalizing, I am possible, Negotiation, Determination, Action) dilakukan melalui kerangka acuan teoretik yang dikenal dengan model simulasi. Subyek penelitian adalah mahasiswa di Universitas Muslim Nusantara Al-Washliyah Medan. Hasil studi pendahuluan menunjukkan efikasi diri menjadi sebuah fenomena yang kompleks karena terdapat perbedaan hasil pada setiap individu, antara demensi magnitude, strength, dan generality. Proses pengembangan model VINDA telah berhasil dikembangkan dengan menggunakan tahapan model hipotetik, validasi rasional dan ujicoba model serta simulasi eksperimental. Proses Pengembangan model konseling menggunakan alur linear sekuensial, namun juga progress regres. Implementasi model konseling dilakukan melalui prinsip yang lebih menekankan proses. Model konseling VINDA terbukti efektif dan sebagai kerangka kerja konseptual dan strategi meningkatkan efikasi diri. Konseling model VINDA memberikan dampak dalam mengembangkan motivasi, kepercayaan diri, dan mengurangi kecemasan. This study aims to formulate a counseling model to enhance students’ self-efficacy. The counseling model developed in this research is based on the Acceptance and Commitment approach. The study employed a single-subject research approach with an embedded design. The research consisted of four stages: preliminary study, model development, rational validation, and empirical validation of the model. The development of the VINDA counseling model (Verbalizing, I am Possible, Negotiation, Determination, Action) was carried out within a theoretical framework known as the simulation model. The research subjects were undergraduate students at Universitas Muslim Nusantara Al-Washliyah Medan. Findings from the preliminary study revealed that self-efficacy is a complex phenomenon due to variations across individuals in the dimensions of magnitude, strength, and generality. The VINDA model was successfully developed through the stages of hypothetical modeling, rational validation, model trials, and experimental simulation. The process of developing the counseling model followed a linear-sequential flow while also allowing for progress-regress dynamics. The implementation of the model emphasized process-oriented principles. The VINDA counseling model was proven to be effective as both a conceptual framework and a strategy for enhancing self-efficacy. Furthermore, it demonstrated positive impacts in fostering motivation, building self-confidence, and reducing anxiety. Keywords: Self-Efficacy; Individual Counseling; VINDA Counseling Model
