    Abstract

Independence in orientation and mobility is a fundamental aspect for blind students to carry out daily activities independently. This study aims to identify and describe the level of independence in orientation and mobility among blind students at SLBN A Pajajaran Bandung. The research employed a descriptive quantitative method with data collected through observation. The subjects of this study were 30 blind students from various educational levels. The results show that most students are in the independent category in terms of orientation and mobility. This indicates that the learning programs implemented have been effective in equipping students with basic orientation and mobility skills. However, there are still students who fall into the less independent category, highlighting the need for reinforcement through continuous practice, disability-friendly facilities, and support from the surrounding environment outside of school. This study emphasizes that independence in orientation and mobility is an essential aspect that must be continuously developed so that blind students can achieve optimal independence in their daily lives.
