Abstract
This study is motivated by the persistent issues of unemployment and poverty, which remain significant challenges both nationally and globally. Islamic entrepreneurship is viewed as a potential solution, as it emphasizes not only individual well-being but also the welfare of society. However, the number of entrepreneurs in Indonesia remains relatively low, and many have yet to fully incorporate Sharia principles into their business activities. The objective of this research is to analyze the influence of Islamic entrepreneurial literacy, moral obligation, and self-efficacy on Islamic entrepreneurial behavior, with worship intention as a mediating variable. The study adopts the Theory of Islamic Entrepreneurship and employs a quantitative approach. Primary data were collected through an online questionnaire using purposive sampling. The population of this study consists of Gen Z Muslim women entrepreneurs in West Java, with a total sample of 265 respondents. Data analysis was conducted using descriptive statistics and causal modeling through Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). Descriptive findings indicate that Islamic entrepreneurial literacy, self-efficacy, and Islamic entrepreneurial behavior fall into the high category, while moral obligation and worship intention are classified as very high. Hypothesis testing results reveal that Islamic entrepreneurial literacy and moral obligation have a significant direct effect on Islamic entrepreneurial behavior, whereas self-efficacy does not. Furthermore, moral obligation and self-efficacy significantly influence Islamic entrepreneurial behavior through worship intention, while Islamic entrepreneurial literacy does not exhibit a significant indirect effect through this mediating variable. These findings are expected to provide both theoretical and practical contributions to the development of Islamic entrepreneurship studies and to promote the emergence of Muslim entrepreneurs who prioritize sustainable well-being for themselves and society.
