Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan media Hydroponic Vegetable Box terhadap keterampilan saintifik anak usia 5-6 tahun. Penelitian ini didasarkan pada hasil research penelitian sebelumnya pada keberhasilan hasil belajar siswa menggunakan media, penggunaan hidroponik dengan metode yang sama namun media yang berbeda, dan pengembangan media hydroponic vegetable box. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode quasi eksperimen dengan desain nonequivalent control group pretest-posttest. Lokasi penelitian di RA Miftahul berlokasi di Desa Sukahening, Kecamatan Sukahening, Kabupaten Tasikmalaya. Sampel dalam penelitian adalah kelompok B1 sebanyak 12 anak sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelompok B2 sebanyak 16 anak sebagai kelompok kontrol. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi menggunakan instrumen keterampilan saintifik dan dianalisis dengan statistik deskriptif dan inferensial. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat peningkatan terhadap keterampilan saintifik yang signifikan pada kelas eksperimen setelah penggunaan media Hydroponic Vegetable Box. Hal ini, dibuktikan melalui hasil uji N-Gain kelas eksperimen dengan rata-rata 0,77 pada kategori tinggi sedangkan pada kelas kontrol hanya pada kategori sedang dengan rata-rata 0,57. Selain itu, dapat dilihat dari uji Mann-Whitney nilai Asymp. Sig. dengan nilai 0,026 yang mana nilai tersebut kurang dari 0,05. Dengan demikian, terdapat pengaruh efektivitas penggunaan media hydroponic vegetable box terhadap keterampilan saintifik anak usia 5-6 tahun. This study aims to determine the effect of using Hydroponic Vegetable Box media on the science skills of children aged 5-6 years. This study is based on the results of previous studies on the success of student learning outcomes using media, the use of hydroponics with the same method but different media, and the development of hydroponic vegetable box media. This study used a quasi-experimental method with a nonequivalent control group pretest-posttest design. The research location at RA Miftahul is located in Sukahening Village, Sukahening District, Tasikmalaya Regency. The sample in the study was group B1 consisting of 12 children as the experimental class and group B2 consisting of 16 children as the control class. Data were collected through observation using science skills instruments and analyzed with descriptive and inferential statistics. The results showed that there was a significant increase in science skills in the experimental class after using the Hydroponic Vegetable Box media. This is evidenced by the results of the N-Gain test for the experimental class with an average of 0.77 in the high category, while in the control class it was only in the medium category with an average of 0.57. Furthermore, the Mann-Whitney test showed the Asymp value. The significance value is 0.026, which is less than 0.05. Thus, the use of hydroponic vegetable boxes effectively influences the science skills of children aged 5-6 years.
