Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning (PBL) terhadap hasil belajar kognitif siswa pada materi Choux Paste di SMK Taruna Terpadu 2 Bogor. Latar belakang penelitian ini didasarkan pada rendahnya pemahaman siswa terhadap konsep dasar pembuatan Choux Paste, yang selama ini didominasi oleh metode pembelajaran konvensional dan ceramah. Model PBL dianggap mampu meningkatkan keterlibatan siswa secara aktif, berpikir kritis, dan keterampilan analisis yang sesuai dengan kebutuhan pembelajaran vokasional. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan desain quasi experimental nonequivalent control group. Variabel terdiri atas model Problem Based Learning sebagai variabel bebas dan hasil belajar kognitif sebagai variabel terikat. Subjek dalam penelitian merupakan kelas XI kuliner di SMK Taruna Terpadu 2 Bogor. Adapun teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah tes pilihan ganda (multiple choice) berdasarkan indikator kognitif Bloom dalam enam tingkatan kompetensi. Analisis data menggunakan uji normalitas, uji homogenitas, uji hipotesis (Independent Sample T-test, paired sample T-test), uji Regresi Linear Sederhana dan N-Gain. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol. Nilai rata-rata posttest kelas eksperimen adalah 87,50 sedangkan kelas kontrol sebesar 76,03. Hasil uji independent sample t-test menghasilkan nilai signifikansi 0,000 < 0,05. Selain itu, nilai rata-rata N-Gain pada kelas eksperimen adalah 0,7237 (kategori tinggi), sedangkan kelas kontrol sebesar 0,3984 (kategori sedang). Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning berpengaruh signifikan dan efektif dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar kognitif siswa pada materi Choux Paste. This study aims to determine the effect of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model on students' cognitive learning outcomes on the Choux Paste material at SMK Taruna Terpadu 2 Bogor. The background of this study is based on students' low understanding of the basic concept of making Choux Paste, which has been dominated by conventional learning methods and lectures. The PBL model is considered capable of increasing active student involvement, critical thinking, and analytical skills that are in accordance with vocational learning needs. This study uses a quantitative method with a design quasi experimental nonequivalent control group. Variables consist of models Problem Based Learning as independent variables and cognitive learning outcomes as dependent variables. The subjects in the study were class XI culinary at SMK Taruna Terpadu 2 Bogor. The data collection technique used in this study was a multiple-choice test.(multiple choice) based on Bloom's cognitive indicators in six levels of competency. Data analysis using normality test, homogeneity test, hypothesis test (Independent Sample T-test, paired sample T-test), Simple Linear Regression and N-Gain The results of the study showed that there was a significant difference between the experimental class and the control class. The average posttest score of the experimental class was 87.50 while the control class was 76.03. The results of the independent sample t-test produced a significance value of 0.000 <0.05. In addition, the average N-Gain value in the experimental class was 0.7237 (high category), while the control class was 0.3984 (moderate category). Thus, it can be concluded that the Problem Based Learning learning model has a significant and effective effect in improving students' cognitive learning outcomes in the Choux Paste material.
