Abstract
Dalam kegiatan pembelajaran guru perlu membangkitkan dan meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa. Salah satu upaya yang dapat dilakukan guru adalah dengan memberikan penguatan (reinforcement). Dengan dilatarbelakangi rendahnya motivasi belajar siswa kelas XI Administrasi Perkantoran pada Mata Pelajaran Menangani Surat di SMK Pasundan 1 Kota Bandung, penelitian ini ditujukan untuk mengetahui seberapa besar pengaruh pemberian penguatan (reinforcement) terhadap motivasi belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran tersebut. Penelitian dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode survey dimana data diambil dengan menggunakan kuesioner dari 114 siswa kelas XI Administrasi Perkantoran SMK Pasundan 1 Kota Bandung yang dipilih dengan teknik Simple Random Sampling. Data dianalisa dengan uji F regresi sederhana dan menunjukan bahwa pemberian penguatan (reinforcement) berpengaruh secara positif dan signifikan terhadap motivasi belajar siswa kelas XI Administrasi Perkantoran pada mata pelajaran menangani surat di SMK Pasundan 1 Kota Bandung. Kata-kata kunci: Motivasi belajar, penguatan (reinforcement) In learning activities teachers have to develop the students’ motivation to learn. One of the efforts that the teachers can do is by giving reinforcement. This study is aimed to find out the effect of teacher’s reinforcement on students’ motivation in the subject of Menangani Surat. This study is conducted as the student are identified to have low motivation in learning this subject. The study was conducted by adopting a survey method in which the data were collected by administering a set of questionnaires to 114 students of class XI of Office Administration study program at SMK Pasundan 1 Bandung. The students were chosen by applying simple random sampling technique. The data were analyzed by F test simple regression and the results show that the provision of reinforcement is significantly and positively affect the students’ motivation in learning the subject of Menangani Surat.
