Abstract

Pada era modern ini, stres pada remaja telah menjadi isu yang semakin mengkhawatirkan yang dapat dipicu oleh berbagai faktor. Salah satunya adalah paparan peristiwa hidup (life events) seperti kematian orang tua. Penelitian sebelumnya menunjukkan bahwa ketika kelekatan terputus karena kematian orang tua, remaja berisiko mengalami kesulitan mengelola stres. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji apakah terdapat pengaruh kelekatan orang tua terhadap stres pada remaja pasca kematian orang tua serta mengevaluasi apakah internal locus of control dapat berperan sebagai variabel moderator. Metode kuantitatif dengan teknik non-probability sampling melalui pendekatan convenience sampling digunakan dalam penelitian ini. Sebanyak 391 remaja berusia 10–21 tahun di Jawa Barat dijadikan partisipan. Data dikumpulkan menggunakan tiga instrumen, yaitu Inventory of Parent and Peer Attachment (IPPA), Perceived Stress Scale, dan Skala Internal Locus of Control. Analisis data dilakukan melalui Analisis Regresi Moderasi dengan bantuan perangkat lunak IBM SPSS versi 26.0. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa kelekatan orang tua dan internal locus of control berpengaruh terhadap tingkat stres remaja, walaupun internal locus of control tidak dapat memoderasi pengaruh kelekatan orang tua terhadap stres pada remaja pasca kematian orang tua. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa pengaruh kelekatan orang tua terhadap stres pada remaja tetap konsisten tanpa dipengaruhi oleh variasi tingkat internal locus of control. In the modern era, stress among adolescents has become an increasingly concerning issue triggered by various factors. One of these is exposure to life events such as parental death. Previous studies have shown that when attachment is disrupted due to the death of a parent, adolescents are at risk of experiencing difficulties in managing stress. This study aims to examine whether parental attachment affects stress levels in adolescents following parental death and to evaluate whether internal locus of control can serve as a moderating variable. This research uses a quantitative method with a non-probability sampling technique, specifically convenience sampling. The participants included 391 adolescents aged 10 to 21 years from West Java. Three instruments were used in this study: the Inventory of Parent and Peer Attachment (IPPA), Perceived Stress, and Internal Locus of Control Scale. Data analysis was conducted using IBM SPSS version 26.0, employing Moderated Regression Analysis (MRA). The results showed that both parental attachment and internal locus of control influence adolescent stress levels; however, internal locus of control does not moderate the effect of parental attachment on stress among adolescents after parental death. It can be concluded that the influence of parental attachment on stress in adolescents remains consistent regardless of variations in internal locus of control.
