Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis: 1) Perbedaan persepsi mengenai perilaku etis akuntan antara mahasiswa laki-laki dan perempuan dimana mahasiswa perempuan memiliki persepsi yang lebih baik daripada mahasiswa laki-laki. 2) Perbedaan persepsi mengenai perilaku etis akuntan antara mahasiswa Akuntansi dengan mahasiswa Pendidikan Akuntansi
Data yang digunakan adalah data primer yang diperoleh dari 144 mahasiswa jurusan akuntansi pada program studi Akuntansi dan program studi Pendidikan Akuntansi di Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia. Analisis yang digunakan adalah analisis statistik Independent sample t test untuk menguji hipotesis dan menganalisa apakah terdapat perbedaan persepsi mengenai perilaku etis akuntan berdasarkan gender dan latar belakang pendidikan.
Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa dalam prinsip etika secara keseluruhan, terdapat perbedaan persepsi mengenai perilaku etis akuntan antara mahasiswa laki-laki dan mahasiswa perempuan. Sedangkan tidak terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan untuk persepsi mengenai perilaku etis akuntan antara mahasiswa akuntansi dan pendidikan akuntansi.

This research aims to analyze 1) Differences in perception about accountant ethic behavior among male students and female students. 2) Differences in perceptions about accountant ethic behavior among accounting students and students in accounting education.
Data used are primary data collected from 144 students majoring in accounting and accounting education at Indonesia University of Education. Analysis of the data used is statistical analysis of independent sample t test to test the hypothesis and analyze whether there are differences in perceptions about accountant ethic behavior by gender and educational background.
These results indicate that the overall ethical principles, there are different perceptions about accountant ethical behavior among male students and female students. While there were no significant differences for perceptions of accountant ethic behavior among accounting students and accounting education students.
