Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji pengaruh gaya kepemimpinan transformasional terhadap motivasi dan kinerja guru di Sekolah Dasar wilayah Segugus 1 Kecamatan Sindangkasih, Kabupaten Ciamis. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode survei dan teknik analisis data menggunakan analisis jalur (path analysis) dan pengujian hipotesis. Sampel penelitian diperoleh melalui teknik purposive sampling dari sejumlah Sekolah Dasar di wilayah tersebut. Instrumen pengumpulan data berupa kuesioner yang disusun berdasarkan indikator gaya kepemimpinan transformasional, motivasi guru, dan kinerja guru. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa gaya kepemimpinan transformasional berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap motivasi guru dan kinerja guru, serta motivasi guru juga berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kinerja guru. Gaya kepemimpinan yang efektif tercermin dari kemampuan kepala sekolah dalam menginspirasi, memberikan motivasi, membangun hubungan yang baik, serta mendorong partisipasi guru secara aktif. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa peningkatan kinerja guru dapat dicapai secara langsung melalui kepemimpinan yang transformasional, maupun secara tidak langsung melalui peningkatan motivasi kerja guru. Penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi penting bagi pengembangan manajemen pendidikan, khususnya dalam memperkuat peran strategis kepala sekolah dalam meningkatkan mutu pembelajaran. Rekomendasi dari penelitian ini mencakup perlunya penguatan pelatihan kepemimpinan transformasional bagi kepala sekolah serta pengembangan strategi yang mendukung peningkatan motivasi dan profesionalisme guru secara berkelanjutan. This study aims to examine the influence of the principal's transformational leadership style on teacher motivation and performance in Primary Schools in Segugus 1, Sindangkasih District, Ciamis Regency. This study uses a quantitative approach with a survey method and data analysis techniques using path analysis and hypothesis testing. The research sample was obtained through purposive sampling techniques from a number of Primary Schools in the area. The data collection instrument was a questionnaire compiled based on indicators of transformational leadership style, teacher motivation, and teacher performance. The results of the study indicate that the principal's transformational leadership style has a positive and significant effect on teacher motivation and teacher performance, and teacher motivation also has a positive and significant effect on teacher performance. An effective leadership style is reflected in the principal's ability to inspire, provide motivation, build good relationships, and encourage active teacher participation. These findings indicate that improving teacher performance can be achieved directly through transformational leadership, or indirectly through increasing teacher work motivation. This study makes an important contribution to the development of educational management, especially in strengthening the strategic role of the principal in improving the quality of learning. Recommendations from this study include the need to strengthen transformational leadership training for principals and develop strategies that support the continuous improvement of teacher motivation and professionalism.
