    Abstract

    Salah satu SD di Kecamatan Lembang menunjukkan bahwa pemahaman siswa terhadap mitigasi gempa masih rendah akibat kurangnya pembelajaran khusus dan keterbatasan media sehingga dibutuhkan media pembelajaran interaktif berupa media Explosion Box berbasis pendekatan PBL. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman siswa terkait materi mitigasi gempa melalui pengembangan media. Metode yang digunakan adalah Design and Development (D&D) menurut Richey & Klein dengan desain penelitian menggunakan model ADDIE. Partisipan penelitian adalah siswa kelas V sekolah dasar. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan lembar validasi dan tes, sedangkan instrumen penelitian berupa pedoman tes serta kisi-kisi penilaian dari para ahli validasi. Analisis data dilakukan secara kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Media pembelajaran yang dikembangkan adalah media pembelajaran Explosion Box berbasis pendekatan PBL. Hasil validasi dari ahli materi, media, dan pembelajaran menunjukkan penilaian dengan kategori sangat layak. Uji coba terbatas pada siswa kelas V menghasilkan peningkatan pemahaman mitigasi gempa dengan skor N-Gain pada kategori sedang. Media ini direkomendasikan untuk digunakan oleh guru sebagai alternatif dalam pembelajaran mitigasi bencana gempa di sekolah dasar. One elementary school in Lembang Subdistrict showed that students' understanding of earthquake mitigation was still low due to a lack of specific learning and limited media, so interactive learning media in the form of Explosion Box media based on the PBL approach was needed. This study aimed to improve students' understanding of earthquake mitigation material through media development. The method used is Design and Development (D&D) according to Richey & Klein with a research design using the ADDIE model. The research participants are fifth-grade elementary school students. The data collection technique uses validation sheets and tests, while the research instruments are test guidelines and assessment grids from expert validators. Data analysis is conducted qualitatively and quantitatively. The learning media developed was Explosion Box learning media based on the PBL approach. The validation results from subject matter, media, and learning experts showed a rating of very feasible. Limited trials on fifth-grade students resulted in an increase in understanding of earthquake mitigation with an N-Gain score in the moderate category. This media is recommended for use by teachers as an alternative in teaching earthquake disaster mitigation in elementary schools.
